Planning perspective

What to consider before reaching out

A strong first conversation is about fit, not just availability. Share your date, approximate guest count, location, and the feeling you want the day to have. Ask what is included, what typically changes the final quote, and what decisions need to be made earliest.

For a venue partner, confirm how communication works, who will be present on the day, and how the team handles changes. Pricing was not included in the supplied research, so request a current, itemized proposal directly from the business.

We had a wonderful tour of the castle. It must have been quite a wonderful place in it's heyday. It's still a beautiful property. Needs a little TLC. The young gal who gave the tour was very enthusiastic and seem to have quite a bit of knowledge of the castle. Her words painted a picture of Life in the castle through the years.

Wilson Castle is a unique Gilded Age home in Proctor, Vermont. It is a rare home and building in an unusual setting. Altogether, there are 32 different rooms, 84 stained glass windows, 13 fireplaces. Originally, the home was built by Vermont doctor John Johnson for his wife. Later the home was owned by Herbert Lee Wilson who was an AM radio pioneer. The house today has an eerie vibe to it and attracts many ghost hunters and paranormal investigators each year. Most of the furniture in the house is original to it. The house has some interesting items in it including a chair that belonged to a Pope, a Louis XIV clock, lavish rugs, Chinese scrolls, Oriental carpets, painted ceilings, Tiffany lam...

What a great way to spend the afternoon! I went with my wife and Australian shepherd and we had a blast! This place is dog friendly which you rarely find in these types of places. The castle was so cool and has so many unique and rare antiques. The tour guides were so knowledgeable about the history, building techniques, and all of the antiques and art work in the castle. The castle has a beautiful marble deck outside over looking the green mountains and it was a perfect way to end out the tour. I would highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area!

Wilson Castle is by far one of my favorite historical spots to visit in New England! Located in Proctor VT, the castle poses a fun BEAUTIFUL visit for people who enjoy a variety of things. The details in the castles build provide STUNNING architectural views! The castle is run by not only the lovely Denise but an amazing staff! Andy (or any of the tour guides will happily answer any and all questions) It's a family friendly stop to learn about the history dating back to when the castle was built. Bonus, you can take family photos there for any occasion! Photos of little Timmy in front of stained glass dating back over 100 years? ✅ Prom photos on a picturesque balcony facing rolling hills? ✅ ...
