Planning perspective

What to consider before reaching out

A strong first conversation is about fit, not just availability. Share your date, approximate guest count, location, and the feeling you want the day to have. Ask what is included, what typically changes the final quote, and what decisions need to be made earliest.

For a catering partner, confirm how communication works, who will be present on the day, and how the team handles changes. Pricing was not included in the supplied research, so request a current, itemized proposal directly from the business.

We loved Vinwood for our catering at Glen Magna! Our catering manager, Gina, was a joy to work with. We wish all our wedding vendors were as kind, competent, and prompt as her. We were so indecisive about what to pick and made several changes, but she was so flexible and easy with everything. We even had some last minute back and forth changes with guests attending/not attending, but Gina and Vinwood accommodated so easily which really took away much of our stress. My husband has a nut allergy in which they were very careful with every dish to exclude for him. The food at Vinwood was also excellent. For hor d'oeuvres, some of our favorites were the fig with goat cheese, scallop wrapped baco...

My family and I hired Vinwood Caterers for our daughter's recent bridal shower. They were absolutely outstanding! Leading up to the event, communication with our coordinator, Erica, was professional, prompt and friendly. On the "day of," the food was incredible, the service was seamless and the staff went above and beyond. Our event wouldn't have been the same without them! Our guests agree...we're still receiving so many compliments! We highly recommend Vinwood!

Mother of the Bride here! Working with Vinwood Caterers for our wedding at Misselwood was an absolute dream from start to finish! From the initial planning stages to the final breakdown, their entire staff works incredibly hard, demonstrating unmatched professionalism and dedication. Gary is an absolute joy to collaborate with—he is a wealth of knowledge, you can certainly tell his passion for the industry is unmatched. His assistant, Lisa, is equally phenomenal, keeping us on track! When it came to execution at the venue, the service was seamless and the coordination was flawless. Every single staff member went above and beyond to ensure our Wedding ran perfectly. And the food? Just WOW!...

Gary, Lisa, and the entire Vinwood team completely exceeded our expectations for our wedding at Misselwood! Initially, I was a bit apprehensive since the venue required us to use Vinwood as our caterer, but any concerns I had quickly disappeared. Their service, attention to detail, and willingness to accommodate our requests were truly exceptional. We had several guests with dietary restrictions and some picky eaters, and Gary and the chef went above and beyond to ensure everyone felt comfortable and well taken care of. Their level of care was unmatched. Our nephew has Type 1 diabetes, and Gary even personally reached out to his mother ahead of the wedding to make sure his meal would work fo...

TL;DR: Vinwood Catering is absolutely incredible, and Erica is one of the best people you could hope to work with. The entire team was professional, attentive, and genuinely cared about making our wedding special. They also did an amazing job incorporating elements from different cultures into our menu. We would recommend them 100%. We had our wedding at Hammond Castle in Gloucester, MA on June 28, 2026. We are an interracial couple with Chinese and Irish backgrounds, and it was very important to us that our wedding reflected both cultures—especially through the food. Finding a caterer that could accommodate this wasn't easy. While there are many wonderful authentic Chinese restaurants, mo...
