Planning perspective

What to consider before reaching out

A strong first conversation is about fit, not just availability. Share your date, approximate guest count, location, and the feeling you want the day to have. Ask what is included, what typically changes the final quote, and what decisions need to be made earliest.

For a catering partner, confirm how communication works, who will be present on the day, and how the team handles changes. Pricing was not included in the supplied research, so request a current, itemized proposal directly from the business.

Evan and I got married at Riverside Farm and they exclusively partner with Vermont Farms Catering as their catering team. We had a tasting with Kevin and Katie and were blown away by how incredible the food was. We wouldn’t wait for all of our guests to try it too! Kevin, Katie, and their team did such an amazing job at our wedding. Everything went so smoothly and so many of our guests told us it was the best food they’ve ever had at a wedding. Evan and I agree! We can’t thank Vermont Farms Catering enough!

We used Vermont Farms Catering for our wedding, and it was truly one of the best decisions we made. Food was such an important part of our day, and they certainly delivered. Katie and the team were incredible from start to finish—she paid attention to every detail and was so accommodating with every request, from our custom cocktails (hello, s’mores espresso martini and cherry champagne tower!) to our wedding cake. The food was absolutely outstanding. The appetizers were phenomenal—the tuna cones and fried artichokes were some of the best bites we’ve ever had at a wedding, and the grazing table was stunning. Huge shoutout to Kevin—the Misty Knoll chicken with corn succotash was unforgettab...

Vermont Farms Catering is top tier when it comes to wedding food! My husband and I were blown away when we had our food tasting and couldn't wait to eat at our wedding. We got several compliments that the food at our wedding was the best wedding food people had ever had, and we agree! They had several options for our bar and the mixed drinks were so good. We also had them make our wedding cake which turned out so pretty and delicious! Katie was communicative and easy to work with throughout the whole process. Highly recommend!

We used Vermont Farms Catering as our wedding caterer and it was such a great decision. Our tasting was done at their restaurant, The Backroom, and was such a great experience. Katie sat down with us and went through all the details, from the drinks to the desserts. Our wedding meal and cocktail apps were incredible, and all of our guests raved about them afterword. The gnocchi and charcuterie board in particular were the stars! The dessert buffet was so delicious, and everyone loved the cider mule signature drink. The staff and bartenders were so wonderful to work with, making sure my husband and I had food and drinks at all times and accommodating all of our requests. Thank you so much t...
