Planning perspective

What to consider before reaching out

A strong first conversation is about fit, not just availability. Share your date, approximate guest count, location, and the feeling you want the day to have. Ask what is included, what typically changes the final quote, and what decisions need to be made earliest.

For a florals partner, confirm how communication works, who will be present on the day, and how the team handles changes. Pricing was not included in the supplied research, so request a current, itemized proposal directly from the business.

I used Understory Farm for my wedding flowers this summer and was blown away with how gorgeous they came out. Jessie was so helpful in providing suggestions for in-season flowers and greenery based on the style and colors I was going for and with just an initial meeting and follow-up phone call, translated the ideas we discussed into beautiful arrangements. I've never thought flowers made a wedding but these were truly a highlight of our day!

We used Understory Farm for my daughter's wedding and the bouquets/arrangements were breathtakingly beautiful. The spring flowers were unique and colorful. Jessie was responsive and worked with us easily to work out all the details up to and including flexible delivery. They are a local Vermont business that cares about making your day special. I would definitely recommend them for your wedding or any floral need!! The attached photo is an example of the flowers taken 3 days after the wedding.

Jessie, Gregory, and their whole team did an incredible job on our wedding flowers. The arrangements, arbor, bouquets were all gorgeous. Jessie was responsive throughout the planning and super accommodating. She captured exactly what I had envisioned and even exceeded that! Several people told me later that the flowers were the most beautiful wedding flowers they have ever seen. Thank you!
