Planning perspective
What to consider before reaching out
A strong first conversation is about fit, not just availability. Share your date, approximate guest count, location, and the feeling you want the day to have. Ask what is included, what typically changes the final quote, and what decisions need to be made earliest.
For a venue partner, confirm how communication works, who will be present on the day, and how the team handles changes. Pricing was not included in the supplied research, so request a current, itemized proposal directly from the business.

This is a beautiful venue and Cheryl is the most amazing host. She went above and beyond to my sure our wedding was perfect. Not to mention, my guests are still talking about this venue even 7 months later. It’s the perfect wedding venue.

We got married here this past weekend and I am still on cloud 9. The venue was stunning and Cheryl and her team are 10/10. The care and attention to our wedding made us feel like we were their only wedding of the year. The grounds are so so pretty- and the bridal cottage is perfect for getting ready. Would highly recommend this venue for a rustic wedding!!

We photographed a wedding at This Old Barn this weekend and it was fantastic! The space is amazing for both large and small weddings with gorgeous ceremony views. The fire pit after dark was a bit bonus for guests stepping out from the dancing to take a break. It was a chilly evening but the barn was warm and inviting. I can't rave enough about the couples cottage as well!

The venue itself…….it was everything we had hoped for and more. Only minutes from our house in Saco, it still had the barn aesthetic we wanted. The views coming up to the venue are breathtaking. The bridal cottage is such a nice addition we didn’t expect. It was such a great spot for the bridesmaids to get ready and prepped before the ceremony. Everything was clean and they even had a personalized gift waiting for us! The staff……they were fantastic! From the setup of the ceremony to the coordinating with the staff, Cheryl and her staff went above and beyond. They made our day flawless and did it all behind the scenes without us knowing. They were so accommodating and friendly and were avail...
