Planning perspective
What to consider before reaching out
A strong first conversation is about fit, not just availability. Share your date, approximate guest count, location, and the feeling you want the day to have. Ask what is included, what typically changes the final quote, and what decisions need to be made earliest.
For a venue partner, confirm how communication works, who will be present on the day, and how the team handles changes. Pricing was not included in the supplied research, so request a current, itemized proposal directly from the business.

The Thompson Inn is the most magical wedding venue. From the moment we stepped onto the property, we knew it was our dream venue! The owners, coordinators, chef, and every staff member are kind, supportive, welcoming, and very helpful. Erin and Lydia made sure every detail was accounted for, every step of the process and planning was explained with care, and on the weekend of the wedding they were there for anything and everything! They both made sure our wedding was perfect and we are so grateful! The chef makes outstanding dishes and beautiful displays! We heard from almost every guest that it was the best food they had at any wedding - and we agree! From our tasting to the day of each app...

I haven't been inside but got this nice photo while XC skiing by. Then my daughter liked the photo so much that she painted the scene, but took license with the house color to make it show better.

The Thompson Inn and Cyderhouse was a dream wedding come true. We love the landscape, the Inn, the Cyderhouse, the greenery, the Ceremony space outside (or inside) and all the hydrangeas throughout the property. The garden party atmosphere for the rehearsal dinner was beautiful and intimate. Having the weekend to spend time with friends and family there was amazing. The farm-to-table meals from the rehearsal dinner, breakfast, lunches, and dinners were amazing. The dance floor space was perfect allowing for doors to be open outside. Lots of windows! Everything was perfect and I can't recommend The Thompson Inn enough. If you are looking for an elegant, beautiful venue to hold 100+ people to ...

The Thompson Inn & Cyderhouse is an incredibly special place. We are so grateful to have been married at the venue on January 4, 2025 supported by the fantastic team at the venue. The Cyderhouse is breathtaking and was the absolute perfect space for our ~110 person winter wedding. I could go on and on about the beauty of the place but this venue truly has the trifecta of perfection: the venue is gorgeous, the staff are some of the most kind and helpful people I've ever met, and the food is quite literally some of the best food I've ever had. I couldn't have planned this wedding without the amazing support of Lauren. Lauren always put our minds at ease and everything went seamlessly largely d...

We just got married at The Thompson Inn this past August and to stay that it was the most incredible day/experience of our lives would be a complete understatement. From the very beginning, Lauren, the coordinator and one of the owners had every single thing handled and under control. She made the entire process simple, easy, and exciting. Every time we would leave a meeting or conversation with her we felt so comfortable and taken care of and knew that Lauren and all of the staff at The Thompson Inn would make our day seamless - and they did. From the ceremony space to the phenomenal (5 star worthy) food, we couldn’t have asked for anything better. It is not an exaggeration when I say that ...
