Planning perspective

What to consider before reaching out

A strong first conversation is about fit, not just availability. Share your date, approximate guest count, location, and the feeling you want the day to have. Ask what is included, what typically changes the final quote, and what decisions need to be made earliest.

For a venue partner, confirm how communication works, who will be present on the day, and how the team handles changes. Pricing was not included in the supplied research, so request a current, itemized proposal directly from the business.

My husband and I got married May 23, 2026 at the Ponds at Bolton Valley. It was an incredible experience working with Heather our coordinator and all of the staff at Bolton. The venue is gorgeous, the food is delicious, and the accommodations are convenient for guests. Everyone enjoyed getting a glimpse into the Vermont mountains and the neighboring towns. It was such a beautiful day and we could not have been happier with the service. You will not regret booking with Bolton!!!

Heather and her team and Bolton Valley were incredible to work with for our August wedding. From the very beginning, Heather was responsive and extremely organized, something we really appreciated in the planning process. She was very flexible and handled any hiccups leading up to our wedding seamlessly. All of our friends and family were extremely impressed by The Ponds, and couldn't stop commenting on what a wonderful venue it was. All of the staff were incredibly kind, and all of the food was truly delicious. We can't thank everyone at Bolton Valley enough for truly making our day the best it could be.

We are so happy that we picked the Ponds for our wedding venue. Our coordinator Heather made the whole process fun and stress-free with her years of experience and easy-going personality. She handled everything so that we did not have to worry about a thing on our wedding day! The Ponds has such a happy and celebratory vibe! The staff are all so friendly and helpful. The food is the best we've ever had at a wedding! And even though we had to move inside due to weather, our 200 guests never felt crowded. Everyone there said it was the best wedding they've ever been to. And we have to agree!

My wife and I absolutely loved The Ponds for our wedding venue! We got married in the beginning of August and everywhere was so green, lush, and well maintained across the entire property. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful all the way through and made sure our rehearsal dinner and wedding went even better than planned. Our coordinator Heather was so professional, kind, and made our lives as stress free as possible. She was very responsive with us all the way from choosing the venue to the final seconds of our big day. The food was also exceptional! We had the short ribs and salmon as our two main dishes. Our guests were raving about the food the next morning. We also loved the c...
