Planning perspective
What to consider before reaching out
A strong first conversation is about fit, not just availability. Share your date, approximate guest count, location, and the feeling you want the day to have. Ask what is included, what typically changes the final quote, and what decisions need to be made earliest.
For a venue partner, confirm how communication works, who will be present on the day, and how the team handles changes. Pricing was not included in the supplied research, so request a current, itemized proposal directly from the business.

My son got married on May 30 and I rented the entire Inn for the weekend. 19 family members stayed together and it was absolutely perfect!! Lisa, our host, was truly exceptional. She was responsive, friendly and so helpful!! I had my wedding shoes sent to the Inn and on the morning of they were nowhere to be found, even though they said they’d been delivered. She drove to the post office and made calls and tracked them down for me! Talk about above and beyond!! Everything was clean, comfortable and we truly had the most wonderful weekend!! We got to have a mini family reunion and a wedding!!! I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again or recommend it to anyone!

Our daughter was married at the Old Lantern Barn last weekend, and we rented the entire Old Lantern Inn for some of the family and a portion of the bridal party. The inn couldn't have been improved for us. The beds were comfy, the common space was wonderful and equipped with games, and we didn't want for anything. It was private, but the innkeeper seemed to know exactly when to make an appearance and to help with whatever detail needed attending to. I couldn't recommend it more highly.

Our daughter was married at The Old Lantern Inn and Barn this weekend, and I couldn't wait to write this review. As the mother of the bride, you want everything to be PERFECT for your daughter. This goal was achieved with the help of Sol, Lisa, Jess and Jill at The Old Lantern. They were kind, professional, helpful, understanding, patient and hard working. They answered questions (probably multiple times) with calmness and explanation. I was fully able to enjoy the wedding, handing over all worries when I was needed to be present. Jess met with me and continually stayed in contact with me during the planning process with patience, information and suggestions. She promptly responded to...

Cons: Our “cozy queen” felt more like a Cozy 3/4 queen bed. Bathroom is for one person at a time. Outlets were loose and didn’t hold Plugs well. A bedside table on both sides would’ve been nice and also a mirror other than shoulders down since the bathroom Was 1 At a time. All rooms are on the second floor. Pros: fresh fruit, decent serve yourself breakfast, pretty farmhouse setting with casual vibe and antiques. Location was farther off the road than I’d thought but it was only 15 minutes into Burlington. Beds were comfortable just Smallish. Good towels

This place is a gem. Quiet, comfortable and clean. There is no TV but it didn't matter. I had my laptop and the wifi worked great. Didn't see any staff when I checked in but also didn't matter, my room was ready and it was beautiful. I spoke with Lisa on the phone prior to my arrival and she was gracious and accommodating. I met her on my way out in the morning and she was super sweet. I can't recommend this place enough. I would totally stay here again.
