Planning perspective

What to consider before reaching out

A strong first conversation is about fit, not just availability. Share your date, approximate guest count, location, and the feeling you want the day to have. Ask what is included, what typically changes the final quote, and what decisions need to be made earliest.

For a catering partner, confirm how communication works, who will be present on the day, and how the team handles changes. Pricing was not included in the supplied research, so request a current, itemized proposal directly from the business.

Their cakes far exceeded my expectations in both taste and design. Each one was not only absolutely delicious, but also beautifully crafted with such attention to detail. Marcy was such a pleasure to work with from start to finish - responsive, helpful, and kind. I will absolutely be using her for all of my future celebrations. Highly recommend!

Went here today with my son and his fiance, and we were all so impressed with everything!! They're staff- 10/10. There was no upselling, they were both extremely attentive and kind and they made what could have been a very nerve wracking experience very relaxing and thoroughly enjoyable! The food- 10/10. The Casual Gourmet offers a wide and eclectic selection that is built around the couple's preferences, and allergies are taken seriously, which for myself, is very important. The tasting itself was a fun experience, and we never felt rushed. Their is a great selection of dinnerware and linens to choose from as well. Highly recommend!! Thank you, Casual Gourmet for a really fun experience! Wi...

The casual gourmet MADE my wedding - I can't thank them enough. Not only did this team craft my husband and I's favorite meals (Boston style steak tips, salmon, and pesto pasta), but they are the kindest and most professional team there is. I truly cannot recommend them enough. Mary and Cassidy were there if we had questions/concerns and even helped with our timeline! Our guests were raving about our food and our cake - both were exceptional. Thank you Casual Gourmet!!!!

The cutest and most delicious part of our wedding. We had a small one tier DELICIOUS GLUTEN FREE CAKE decorated with sugar and real flowers on top of cupcakes! I could not believe how delicious the gluten free cake and cupcakes were. We can't thank you enough!!! Go here for lunch AND hire them for your wedding!

Getting here

How far is this from home?

Pick the city you and most of your guests will be driving from and we will estimate the trip.

An estimate for planning, not live traffic. Leafy weekends in October always take longer.

For your guests

Lovely places to stay nearby

Chatham Bars Inn, Chatham

Classic oceanfront rooms, easy for a large guest block.

The Captain's House Inn, Chatham

Quiet and pretty for close family.

Sea Crest Beach Hotel, Falmouth

Beachfront and friendly on the budget.

Three stops worth the detour

Somewhere pretty for photographs, and somewhere warm for a good cup of coffee.

Nauset Light, Eastham

The red and white light everyone photographs.

Chatham Fish Pier

Boats, seals, and golden light late in the day.

Hot Chocolate Sparrow, Orleans

The Cape coffee stop worth the small line.
