Planning perspective

What to consider before reaching out

A strong first conversation is about fit, not just availability. Share your date, approximate guest count, location, and the feeling you want the day to have. Ask what is included, what typically changes the final quote, and what decisions need to be made earliest.

For a hotel rooms partner, confirm how communication works, who will be present on the day, and how the team handles changes. Pricing was not included in the supplied research, so request a current, itemized proposal directly from the business.

A night stop on the way to the White Mountains. The room we took was spacious with a balcony. The lake view is spectacular for a morning Yoga practice or a quiet afternoon. From time to time the internet connection is slow but on a day of we can handle it 🙂🙂and the Mint restaurant is recommended

If you want a little slice of New England, in a non pretentious place where comfort, location and service are stellar, then come here. Right on Laurel Lake with kayaking, and pontoon boat rentals, the BEST Indian food we have ever had at the on site restaurant Mint. Clean, comfy, EV chargers (4) available…and Michelle at the front desk! So Charming, helpful and responsive. We cannot wait to return. Just come. You won’t be disappointed!

We enjoyed our stay the Black Swan. Our room had been renovated within the last few years, and the updated bathroom was a nice improvement. While some areas of the hotel, including parts of the decks, still show their age, the lake view from our room was excellent. I almost gave the hotel 4 stars because the Wi-Fi was unreliable. Normally that wouldn't be a major issue, but the hotel is in a cellular dead zone, so Wi-Fi is the only way to access the internet or make phone calls. The other downside was inconsistent housekeeping. Even when we placed the door hanger out requesting service, our room wasn't cleaned every day. For the class of hotels the Black Swan falls in it is a great value. I ...

Booked a room here for a last-minute retreat. The Lakeside rooms have a little balcony to sit down with a view of this most beautiful lake laurel. The service is courteous and very kind. Breakfast is good and the breakfast room is also lovely with the view of the lake. The pillows could be better but that is very minor. I hope to be back again!

All together a very good experience. Really nice room. Good air conditioning / Heating made everything comfortable. We opted for a Lakeview room which we recommend as it comes with a small balcony overlooking the water. The room maid service was excellent - we went out of our way to tip ours. The only downside was with the free Continental breakfast, but we were pretty late so bear that in mind. Bagels were very dry, the fascinating pancake machine needed a new bag so we didn't get a chance to watch that in action. The Bagel toaster was spot on. Coffee had gone cold in the dispenser. All in all, Staff was very friendly, everything was as clean as it could be and our stay was extremely quie...
