Planning perspective

What to consider before reaching out

A strong first conversation is about fit, not just availability. Share your date, approximate guest count, location, and the feeling you want the day to have. Ask what is included, what typically changes the final quote, and what decisions need to be made earliest.

For a venue partner, confirm how communication works, who will be present on the day, and how the team handles changes. Pricing was not included in the supplied research, so request a current, itemized proposal directly from the business.

We got married at Powder Major’s Farm on 7/11/26 and it was the best day of our lives! The owners, Beth and Chuck are amazing to work with - kind, caring, communicative & attentive. They are very knowledgeable about the set up and flow of weddings and had amazing suggestions that helped our day flow nicely! The property itself is unfathomably beautiful - the rustic barn and massive grassy fields made for amazing photos and picture perfect moments. It was really convenient to have a bridal suite on site that could also accommodate a hair and make up team! We had a large bridal party, 14 of us getting hair and make up services and the bridal suite fit us all perfect! 10/10 experience and would...

The best wedding venue in NE. Do not hesitate to book! I can not stop recommending this place to everyone. All my family & friends loved the place & on top of it all, the owners are amazing people. They truly care about ensuring you’re having a great wedding & helped with the clean up even though they really did not need to. Our wedding was July of 2023 so this is a tad bit late but I’m still getting texts about my wedding today which reminded me to put this review up. Fully customizable venue & you can even have your entire day there. We opted to have our ceremony in a church in Portsmouth then the after party here.

What a wonderful weekend we had here! The wedding and reception could not have been more perfect. For a mid November day, it was crisp and clear. We had the ceremony outside, cocktail hour inside& outside with heaters and had dinner and dancing inside. The bridal party spent the morning getting dressed in such a great space - perfect for eating and relaxing while waiting for hair and makeup. The groomsmen hung out in a separate area playing corn hole, etc. The Barn is just gorgeous- high ceilings, string lights and beautiful wood tables. Beth and Chuck do a terrific job getting everything ready. We liked that there is ample space so we did not have to worry about a rain plan. The band was te...

The best venue - DO NOT HESITATE TO BOOK! My husband and I got married this past August and after touring a few venues we immediately knew Powder Majors Farm was our spot. Beth and Chuck were so warm and supportive throughout the entire process, and as a DIY bride planning her own wedding I would not have been able to do so without their help and guidance! Our guests were WOW-ed with the venue, and we couldn't agree more. Thank you to Beth and Chuck for an incredible wedding venue - we are beyond grateful for the memories that will last a lifetime!

A perfect day! Almost 2 years of planning went off without a hitch thanks to Beth & Chuck. They are so passionate about what they do and it shows! I am so glad we chose this venue and we've gotten countless compliments on the space and our day. The planning process was smooth, there were plenty of vendor choices plus the freedom to find your own, the cottage on site was perfect, and it was great we had the venue for the entire weekend. If you are looking for a special spot to have your wedding - this is it! I'd do it over 100x if I could!
