Planning perspective

What to consider before reaching out

A strong first conversation is about fit, not just availability. Share your date, approximate guest count, location, and the feeling you want the day to have. Ask what is included, what typically changes the final quote, and what decisions need to be made earliest.

For a venue partner, confirm how communication works, who will be present on the day, and how the team handles changes. Pricing was not included in the supplied research, so request a current, itemized proposal directly from the business.

Stratton is a great, family friendly ski resort in Southern Vernont with convinent drives from many major cities in the area. Only the main base was open when I visited, but there was still a bunch of trails and lifts open. The gondola is nice and roomy, and I didn't wait more than 15 minutes. American Express was also great. Huge shoutout to the staff working in the AMEX queue, you guys did such a great job organizing the line, loading chairs fully, and cutting down wait times. The trails were pretty nice early season, a bit icy, but what do you expect from the east coast. There are plenty of trails for all abilities, including greens all over the mountain. At the peak there's more blacks a...

We had an amazing three-day stay! Great location close to New Jersey, cozy town, and comfy condos right by the mountain. Perfect for families. Loved the hot tub, sauna, and pool. The skiing was fantastic — beautiful views and slopes for all levels. Can’t wait to come back!

Great mountain all things considered. I definitely recommend buying tickets as early in advance as you can to save money. I would also highly recommend bringing food with you as the food/drink price can be crazy. The lift lines aren't too bad even on weekends. The trails are pretty great too with large variety ranging from groomers, ungroomed, and glades. I would definitely recommend trying to aim for a weekend with peak conditions so all trails & lifts are open

I share this with reluctancy solely for the fact I don’t want the entire world knowing how wonderful Stratton Mountain Resort is! My wife and I first went on our first ski trip together here and that’s how I knew she was the one for me! The booking agent that helped us & that works for the resort - Karen G. is amazing and went above and beyond in accommodating us at the Black Bear Lodge with our boy Bronson!!! We are having a blast and can’t wait to try and make this a yearly tradition. The staff has been nothing less than great and shuttle service drivers are consistent and so pleasant to be around. We are grateful!!🙏

stratton has become my favorite mountain to ski. The combination of the gorgeous surroundings, accessible, but not trivial, terrain, and most importantly, the outstanding level of kindness in every single person who works there has made it my heaven on earth. If only it wasn't 3+ hours away... I have typically stayed at Black Bear Lodge, which is reasonably priced when it's not high season and rather outlandish (for what you get) when it is high season (aka, school vacation week). that said, it's the most reasonably price of anything on the mountain, and the location is made fantastic because of the shuttle service.
