Planning perspective

What to consider before reaching out

A strong first conversation is about fit, not just availability. Share your date, approximate guest count, location, and the feeling you want the day to have. Ask what is included, what typically changes the final quote, and what decisions need to be made earliest.

For a florals partner, confirm how communication works, who will be present on the day, and how the team handles changes. Pricing was not included in the supplied research, so request a current, itemized proposal directly from the business.

I worked with Stitchdown for my wedding in July and I’m still dreaming about the flowers. I gave Rita an idea of what I wanted and trusted her creative process to bring my vision to life. She exceeded every expectation and gave us the most gorgeous, unique, organic, and natural-looking arrangements. She even incorporated fun and unexpected details, like cherry tomatoes, into our tablescapes. The colorful pillar candles we rented from Stitchdown took the decor to a whole other level. I am so grateful for Rita (and her assistant Sophie) for their attention to detail and eye for beautiful floral design. I would highly recommend Stitchdown to anyone who is looking for wedding florals in Vermont!

Rita and Stitchdown Farm did the flowers for our Vermont wedding and they were the most beautiful arrangements I have ever seen. I wanted a mix of neutrals and dried elements for the Friday event and bud vases and candles for the main event and couldn’t have been happier with the end result. Would absolutely recommend Stitchdown Farm

We purchased DIY buckets from Stitchdown Farm for our wedding in Killington. The selection of wildflowers we got were beautiful and it felt great to support a local business. Rita was very easy to work with and was very flexible with us through COVID postponements. Highly recommend for a wedding or special event!

Rita and Stitchdown Farm did such an incredible job with the flowers for our wedding - I gave her a rough idea of color palette and a couple flowers that I liked but otherwise told her she could just work her magic - and she did! The bouquet was beautiful and the buckets we got to make our arrangements with were stunning. Can't recommend Stitchdown highly enough!
