Planning perspective

What to consider before reaching out

A strong first conversation is about fit, not just availability. Share your date, approximate guest count, location, and the feeling you want the day to have. Ask what is included, what typically changes the final quote, and what decisions need to be made earliest.

For a venue partner, confirm how communication works, who will be present on the day, and how the team handles changes. Pricing was not included in the supplied research, so request a current, itemized proposal directly from the business.

What an amazing venue for a wedding Tammy was top notch. She walked us through the whole experience prior to the ceremony and her staff / catering suggestion were phenomenal. Bianca’s catering team was out of this world. Best food I have ever had eaten at any previous venues. Thank you Tammy for making my son’s wedding day a fairytale.

We had the most wonderful day at the Smith Barn for our wedding. From the start Tammy was so helpful showing us the venue, and checking in by phone a couple times before the big day to make sure everything was clear and I had no questions. Tammy could easily be reached by text and would answer promptly when I did have questions. Day of was perfect, Tammy and the Vinwood catering crew made sure me, my husband and our families were taken care of. I would recommend both Tammy and the Smith Barn for anyone looking to get married in the New England area. :)

Smith barn is the perfect place to have a wedding! As parents of the groom, we could not have imagined how well taken care of our son and "daughter " were in the hands of Tammy. She is truly amazing! From the moment we arrived, until the very end, Tammy always checked in to make sure everyone was happy. Great staff! Great venue! Great time! Thank you Tammy and staff!

Our wedding at Smith Barn was everything we could have hoped for and more! The venue is absolutely beautiful, and the entire day went so smoothly. We never had to worry about a thing because everything was so well organized. Tammy, Leanne and Beth were incredible. They made sure we were comfortable, checked in with us throughout the night, and always made sure we had everything we needed. Their kindness, professionalism, and attention to detail made our wedding day completely stress-free. We are so thankful to the entire Smith Barn team for helping make our wedding day absolutely perfect. We couldn't recommend them more highly!

People! BOOK THIS VENUE! This is your sign! The barn and grounds are absolutely stunning sure, but the staff is really what will make your day even more special! Tammy goes above and beyond to accommodate your needs. (And she has the BEST Boston accent evaaa!) It actually torrential down poured 10 minutes before our ceremony and they all rushed to get everything and everyone covered and dry!! It passed within 15 minutes and we were back on in the Woodland Gardens. And honestly, the rain made it even more magical and mystical and beautiful. We all decided to just take out the chairs for guests and everyone stood during our ceremony which felt so intimate and we absolutely loved it. Tru...
