Planning perspective
What to consider before reaching out
A strong first conversation is about fit, not just availability. Share your date, approximate guest count, location, and the feeling you want the day to have. Ask what is included, what typically changes the final quote, and what decisions need to be made earliest.
For a venue partner, confirm how communication works, who will be present on the day, and how the team handles changes. Pricing was not included in the supplied research, so request a current, itemized proposal directly from the business.

We couldn't have dreamed up a more perfect venue for our August 2025 wedding. We actually booked Scotland Field sight unseen after our parents toured on our behalf, and it was the best leap of faith we could've taken! We loved how the property allowed us to fully feel at home and take advantage of all the space had to offer for the entirety of the weekend both hosting our 26 closest friends on site and hosting our rehearsal dinner on the bungalow porch. The views at Scotland Fields are breathtaking, and the property offers so many gorgeous and unique spaces to explore. Each moment of the celebration—ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and reception—felt distinct and memorable, yet everything fl...

I looked into countless wedding venues all across New England, but when my then-fiancé and I arrived at Scotland Fields for our venue tour, I immediately knew that it was the place we needed to host our wedding weekend. That gut feeling that this was somewhere really special never wore off, and I know that all of our guests felt that same feeling throughout the entire weekend. We also don't have enough positive things to say about the Scotland Fields team. My husband and I had a very specific vision about how we wanted our weekend to come together, and the team was nothing but accommodating to allow us to create the weekend that we envisioned. They were responsive when we had questions, help...

Scotland Fields was the most perfect venue location for my husband and I’s wedding. The grounds are stunning, especially at golden hour. The bungalow is so beautiful (everyone said they wish they could live there, haha!) the farm house was so gorgeous and there is so much room between both houses to accommodate guests. The barn is breath taking. Everyone LOVED the fire pit area, it was so much fun making s’mores and the ambiance was a dream! The Scotland Fields team goes above and beyond and are so nice. We had the best weekend ever!

I can’t say enough amazing things about this place. Scotland Fields will forever hold a special place in our hearts. We had our wedding here and rented the property from Thursday-Sunday. The venue is stunning, with two amazing houses, a gorgeous barn and views of the York River. We loved this place because we could make our wedding what we wanted it to be. It’s a beautiful clean slate and the team and owner were absolutely amazing to work with! Not only was I a bride there, but I also am a wedding photographer and that was one of the reasons we chose this place. It has so many options for beautiful photos - rain or shine! Beyond grateful this place exists ❤️

Wow. Scotland Fields was beyond beautiful, and I'm so glad we chose this the venue for our wedding ! The views of the York River are absolutely stunning, especially around sunset. It was a fantastic backdrop to our ceremony! And the barn was the perfect layout and size for our 100 person wedding. Would totally recommend booking this venue - it will make your special day that much more unique and memorable.
