What to consider before reaching out
A strong first conversation is about fit, not just availability. Share your date, approximate guest count, location, and the feeling you want the day to have. Ask what is included, what typically changes the final quote, and what decisions need to be made earliest.
For a photo & video partner, confirm how communication works, who will be present on the day, and how the team handles changes. Pricing was not included in the supplied research, so request a current, itemized proposal directly from the business.

From start to finish, Jules was the most incredible wedding photographer my husband and I could have ever asked to have. Jules has such an incredible eye that translates across all of the photos taken. She was so great at communicating and understanding what my expectation for the photos were. We were able to discuss in depth style, important shots, and any other expectation for the day which I felt she not only met but exceeded. But even more importantly than that, Jules is such a joy to work with. I received advice from someone who said when hiring a wedding photographer, make sure they are someone you truly get along with because they will be by your side all day on such an incredibly i...

Jules was absolutely amazing to work with for our May wedding in Bristol, RI. She is so kind, bubbly, positive, and truly knows her stuff. Throughout the entire process I felt completely stress-free knowing she had everything under control and was capturing all the important moments throughout the day. She brought such a calming, fun energy. We’ve only received the preview photos so far, and they are already absolutely incredible. We are beyond obsessed with them and can already tell the full album is going to be amazing. Could not recommend her more!

Jules was phenomenal to work with as our wedding photographer. She exuded warmth, energy, and care in a way that put us at ease on our big day. Brittany, our second photographer, was also amazing. We loved our photos! As one of our guests shared with us, "The photographer did a wonderful job mixing the serenity of the venue with the excitement of the occasion." We also really appreciated Jules' flexibility when we added an extra half-hour of coverage the night of our wedding.

Jules was truly amazing! She was everything we wanted in a wedding photographer. Natural, organic photos that capture every detail. Jules was easy to work with and completely understood our vision from day one. Investing in photo and video is my #1 tip for all brides. Her photos are incredible and something we will cherish forever. Thank you again!

We truly could not recommend Scarlet Roots more! From the very beginning, Jules was one of the kindest, warmest humans and made us feel completely comfortable and at ease in front of the camera. She has such a calming presence and somehow made every photo feel so natural and effortless! Beyond being incredibly talented, she was so thoughtful, patient, and genuinely invested in making our day special. She captured all of the little moments, emotions, and memories that we will cherish forever. Looking through our photos feels like reliving the best day of our lives, and we are so grateful to her for that. If you are looking for a photographer who is not only unbelievably talented but also th...
