Planning perspective

What to consider before reaching out

A strong first conversation is about fit, not just availability. Share your date, approximate guest count, location, and the feeling you want the day to have. Ask what is included, what typically changes the final quote, and what decisions need to be made earliest.

For a photo & video partner, confirm how communication works, who will be present on the day, and how the team handles changes. Pricing was not included in the supplied research, so request a current, itemized proposal directly from the business.

We hired Sarah for our August wedding in Cape Cod and we truly can not recommend her and her team enough! From the first phone call we had with her, we knew she was the photographer for us. We immediately felt like we were on a call with a friend - she made us feel so comfortable and was so helpful in going over every detail. Sarah shot both our engagement shoot and wedding day and we were blown away with the results. The photos came out absolutely incredible and we will cherish them forever. Hiring Sarah Murray Photography was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding - trust me you will not regret it!

Sarah is a true professional! We did a photoshoot years ago as a family and I knew when it was time to get married, she was the first person I would go to! Sarah is not only professional, but extremely personable. From our first phone call, you can really tell she loves what she does and is genuinely excited about your big day. I had so many questions and changes throughout the wedding process and Sarah was so helpful and communitive the entire time! We had a short number of hours due to budget constrictions, and Sarah made it work perfectly for us along with her amazing assistant James. They arrived on time, and started right away making sure they captured every moment for us. She was calm,...

WOW!!! I have known Sarah for over 10 years now. I first met her while planning weddings on Cape Cod back in 2014. After working with her for the first time, I knew she would be my wedding photographer when the time came. Sarah CRUSHED it! She is extremely talented. I highly recommend hiring Sarah for your upcoming event. You will NOT be disappointed.

Sarah and her team were absolutely incredible on our wedding day! From start to finish, they made everything feel effortless and enjoyable, even amidst all the chaos. They were calm, kind, and so professional - which helped us stay relaxed and truly present. The photos came out perfect - timeless, natural, and full of emotion. You can really feel the love and energy of the day in every shot. We couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out and are so grateful to have had Sarah and her team capture these memories so beautifully.

Sarah was the BEST photographer we could have wished for! She was a pleasure to be with throughout the whole day/night. She took the time to walk through our timeline and needs. She gives great direction and knows the best locations for photos. AND the photos were GORGEOUS!! We cannot thank her and her team enough!!
