Planning perspective
What to consider before reaching out
A strong first conversation is about fit, not just availability. Share your date, approximate guest count, location, and the feeling you want the day to have. Ask what is included, what typically changes the final quote, and what decisions need to be made earliest.
For a venue partner, confirm how communication works, who will be present on the day, and how the team handles changes. Pricing was not included in the supplied research, so request a current, itemized proposal directly from the business.

SaltWater Fields was the best experience my husband and I had booking our venue! The place itself is nothing short of beautiful. When you first walk in, all you can say is "wow." The lighting from the chandeliers and the wood just makes it perfect. Not only that but, they have so many rustic decor outside as well that is perfect for photos! The photo booth was an absolute blast with the guests. They had so many props to use, and they sent us the photos afterwards. Leading up to the wedding and even the day of, Tina and the staff were super friendly and professional. Tina was very helpful in making sure we had what we needed, and if we wanted to check out other things for inventory they had. ...

Saltwater Fields and Barn, provided my husband and I with the best wedding experience we could have asked for. Months prior to getting married Tina let my family and I see the venue multiple times and helped us plan exactly what we wanted our day to look like. Tina has an eye for decorating and designing and was wonderful to collaborate with. The day of the wedding she was there for me every step of the way and solved any problems that came up, she is AMAZING! The day after the wedding Tina even helped me bandage a broken fingernail! On top of Tina being wonderful, her husband Jimmy was awesome and great resource for us. Jimmy runs the On the Rocks bar company, the drinks were perfect. Jimmy...

This Venue is absolutely incredible. If you are looking for that classic Maine wedding - this is just the spot! We had our rehearsal dinner outside of the barn here the night before & it was absolutely incredible. (I will attach photos for reference) the entire day before Tina & jimmy were around offering the best advice & assistance. The actual day of the wedding they were extremely helpful & professional. Tina even created beautiful bouquets from some of the extra flowers I had. The best part about this venue is it has absolutely everything you need. The bar, tables, and chairs are absolutely stunning. No need to rent anything - including, plates, napkins, silverware, glasses. Tina is extr...

The most magical day at Saltwater Fields! I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about Saltwater Fields. From the moment we first visited, I knew it was the perfect place for our wedding—and it exceeded every expectation. The venue itself is absolutely breathtaking, with the charm of a coastal Maine barn, scenic views of the St. George River, and the perfect blend of rustic and elegant. What made the experience even more special was the incredible support we received from Tina and Jimmy throughout the entire planning process. Tina was a total lifesaver. From day one, she was responsive, organized, thoughtful, and full of creative insight. Her experience and eye for detail helped bring o...

We hosted our wedding at SaltWater Fields and it was a weekend I never wanted to end. We had family and friends fly in from around the world and I was honored to be able to share this venue with them. Clear communication about expectations and help was available whenever it was needed during the entire planning process until we drove away. Accommodations were spot on. Available decorations were plentiful which helped ease a lot of stress! Being in grad school, working full time and planning a wedding is quite the handful but SaltWater Fields made it seamless!
