We held our wedding room block at the Salem Waterfront Hotel and I could not recommend it more to other brides! Our wedding was in Nahant, Mass so the Salem Waterfront was definitely one of the nicest hotels in the area. It was an easy and scenic ride to our venue, plus the location allowed our guests to venture out on their own time in downtown Salem or along the water for shopping, meals, and drinks. It was also a 1 minute walk to our rehearsal dinner spot! My stay at the Salem Waterfront Hotel & Suites during Memorial Day weekend was absolutely exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the staff treated us like guests at a five-star luxury resort. Everyone was incredibly warm, welcoming, and genuinely friendly — truly some of the best hospitality I’ve experienced. The hotel itself is beautifully designed with a well-executed interior that feels both elegant and comfortable. The luxurious towels, soft down comforters, and cozy atmosphere made the stay incredibly relaxing. Perfect location, within walking distance from so many things in Salem. Beds were comfortable, rooms were clean and staff was very nice. I liked that we had plenty of pillows and pillow options. And I do enjoy that. You can actually open up your windows if you would like to. We had two rooms we booked one that was a king bedroom that had the living room and the other with two queens. Having a microwave and a mini fridge was very helpful in the king room. Would definitely stay here again if we came back. We were at family of four with two older kids. They enjoyed their Queen bedroom as well.

The location is great, the staff were great, and the room was clean. But that doesn't make up for the issue of noise. If it was just the walls being thin I could understand, but the doors don't have seals on them. I can crouch on the floor and see into the adjoining hotel room. So I heard every TV show, conversation, and fart My neighbors had. Or people in the hallway talking about who had the door key. The seal on the window was bad as well letting me listen to the conversations of people in the parking lot. Not great when you're 3 stories up. Even worse when it's 38°F outside. I have higher expectations for a cheap roadside motel. At nearly $300/night this is miserable.

Three stars for an overpriced misleading room. When booking, we booked a deluxe queen room, thinking deluxe was something special but it means no fridge or microwave and the cost of the room helped cover the recent remodel of what is otherwise a basic hotel. A lovely "view" of the parking lot, screaming girls right outside our room until 2am and money well never get back. We asked for the upgraded room with the tub (the only reason we paid the outrageous price), only to be met with "sorry, we just sold our last one".
