Planning perspective

What to consider before reaching out

A strong first conversation is about fit, not just availability. Share your date, approximate guest count, location, and the feeling you want the day to have. Ask what is included, what typically changes the final quote, and what decisions need to be made earliest.

For a venue partner, confirm how communication works, who will be present on the day, and how the team handles changes. Pricing was not included in the supplied research, so request a current, itemized proposal directly from the business.

My wife, two dogs, and I spent last weekend (Mar 20-22) at Robinson Farm for their Vermont Sugarhouse Tour Weekend. The location, accommodations, and entire team were nothing short of amazing. The buildings and property are beautiful, and the rooms are tastefully decorated to match the history of the farm. They are conveniently located close to Woodstock's charming town center for dining and shopping, the Woodstock Farmer's Market, skiing options, and amazing covered bridges which is perfect. Highly recommend a visit. We will definitely be back in the summer or fall.

My friend and I just ended a 3 night stay in the Maple Room. The farmhouse is beautiful and clean. We loved the thoughtful touches with the fresh flowers and common areas to sit and relax in the evenings. It’s so nice to have a full kitchen to be able to store and reheat food from the great restaurants here too. The view outside was unreal. So beautiful and we took some fresh maple syrup home. 10/10 recommend for a quiet stay close to Woodstock!

Wow, wow, wow! This past weekend at Robinson Farmhouse truly felt like a gift for the soul. The setting was pure Vermont magic with fields, fresh farm produce, honey, maple syrup, inviting forest trails on the property, and cozy nooks perfect for reflecting with a mug of tea after yoga practice in the yoga room. The meals were deeply satisfying, featuring local ingredients, every meal was even better than the last. Dylan the chef was superb! That goes for all the staff on the property as well! I stayed in the Sunrise Room. My room was spotless and full of charm, with a VERY comfortable bed and all the cozy touches that matter, from plush towels to the scented oils radiating throughout ...

The Robinson Farm is well kept and offers the quaint and rustic experience travelers anticipate when visiting Vermont. It is an easy 10 minute drive from the center of Woodstock and sits on a nice piece of property. The guesthouse is generally very quiet, and the staff gave us a great deal of privacy during our stay. It was also nicely decorated for Christmas. We stayed in the Sunrise room, which was clean and cozy. We do recommend that the owners update the doors and locks in the room, as they are pretty stiff, but this did not impact our trip. Overall good accommodations and reasonably priced.
