I can't express how much I enjoyed my stay at the Red Lion Inn. Beautiful inn, beautiful area. Loved walking through Stockbridge and just sitting on the porch drinking coffee (you do need to ask the bartender for a cup of coffee, a coffee bar in the lobby would be nice). Don't let first impressions sway you, it's not pretentious at all and very relaxed. I felt very comfortable in business casual clothes. The clam chowder at the Widow Bingham's Tavern was outstanding and I enjoyed the Chicken Pot Pie as well. I wish I had stayed more than one night, but we were on a tight schedule. I'd love to return one day for a longer stay.

Was there for Father's Day weekend wedding. There is not enough room to post all of the wonderful things about this place. Charm, food, service, history, etc perfect in every way. Lisa from catering is who you want if your having an event. Reasonable prices for food, drink and a stay. Location is in an area that's both walkable and charming with boutiques, shops and food along every step. I could go on and on about the staff but they all know the experience they give their guests. Best place I've gone to in a long time that gets 5s across the board. 2 words GO THERE!

Please consider this a PSA , my weary travelers, probably looking for respite in these strange times. You will not find respite here in a room at The Red Lion Inn! When you are looking at the reviews before you book, sort by ROOM- over 55% UNFAVORABLE. I pre-booked and paid for a 7 night stay ($3500) in a Queen Suite at The Red Lion Inn to celebrate my husband's birthday. When we arrived, we were told we had a room in one of separate "Village Houses". Wow! What a disappointment ; Peeling paint ceilings, damp carpet floors, view and sound of construction from every room, cob webs and ripped blinds. When I asked the front desk if they could find us a room that was more in line with what was ...

We had dinner in the main dining room of the Red Lion Inn for our 1st wedding anniversary and had an amazing time! Great service, great drinks, great food. The manager even came up to us and knew our names. Great place for dinner for a special occasion! Highly recommend the Red Lion Inn for dinner or lunch

This is such a unique and interesting hotel! Everywhere you look there is something intriguing to look at. We met so many nice people while we were here, the staff were wonderful, our room was beautiful and clean. The Red Lion Inn has so much character and history. It was an adventure to stay here! Thank you for everything!
