Planning perspective
What to consider before reaching out
A strong first conversation is about fit, not just availability. Share your date, approximate guest count, location, and the feeling you want the day to have. Ask what is included, what typically changes the final quote, and what decisions need to be made earliest.
For a entertainment partner, confirm how communication works, who will be present on the day, and how the team handles changes. Pricing was not included in the supplied research, so request a current, itemized proposal directly from the business.

We truly cannot recommend Greg enough! We booked Greg without ever hearing him live and it ended up being one of the best decisions we made in the wedding planning process. He was extremely thorough in his preparation and communication with us before our wedding day and really paid attention to our vision for the day. He was great with all of our audio for the ceremony and cocktail hour and kept the dance floor packed all night. Having an afternoon wedding, we were concerned that people may not be up and dancing as much as a night wedding, however Greg proved us wrong. One guest commented after that she couldn't believe that 90% of the guests were on the dance floor the whole night. We owe t...

We had an amazing experience with Portside Productions! From our first phone call, Greg listened and delievered exactly what we were hoping for. One of the highlights was the custom edit Greg created for the groom's entrance. He was able to make it so memorable and had everyone cheering! Not only was our ceremony filled with great energy, but so was our dance floor all night long. We highly recommend Portside Productions to anyone looking for a DJ who truly listens and helps make your wedding day unforgettable!

Working with Chris from Portside Productions was a great experience from the first time that we had an intro call with him all the way through our last song on wedding night. Chris knows how to get a party going on the dancefloor and we thought he absolutely nailed our reception dancing music. It is also worth mentioning the extra work that Chris puts into each event long before he sets up a DJ booth on the big day. He provided us links to Spotify playlists for our prelude, cocktail hour, and dinnertime a few weeks before our event. His planning meeting was thorough, and went through the timeline of the day and every small detail that he would need to emcee the special dances, the speeches, ...

I highly recommend Portside Production! Greg was very responsive, and made setting everything up with our DJ and the Photo Booth completely stress free for our backyard wedding. Our DJ Chris made our whole wedding move along perfectly, tailored the music to me and my wife’s liking, while making sure there was plenty of great music for everyone! We could not be happier with the services they provided!

Greg was awesome to work with, super easy to get in contact with, and incredibly helpful. The equipment was easy to use and super nice. The price was also pretty unbeatable! We would definitely work with Greg again and will be recommending him to friends who want to rent sound equipment :)
