Planning perspective

What to consider before reaching out

A strong first conversation is about fit, not just availability. Share your date, approximate guest count, location, and the feeling you want the day to have. Ask what is included, what typically changes the final quote, and what decisions need to be made earliest.

For a photo & video partner, confirm how communication works, who will be present on the day, and how the team handles changes. Pricing was not included in the supplied research, so request a current, itemized proposal directly from the business.

Alicia went above and beyond. She made the wedding party all feel comfortable and brought my husband and I to the back side of Peaks for private shots after the ceremony which was my favorite part of the day! Her partner Jamie made the guys feel comfortable and relaxed as guys usually hate pictures. My family loved the shots of a perfect Maine day! I would highly recommend Alicia.

I was lucky to get a last minute appt for my son's senior photos with Portland Photo Company. Ally was able to fit us in and I am so thankful she did! She captured my son perfectly. Plus, she's super nice and very personable.

Wow!! We are so thrilled with our entire family picture experience. Ally was amazing to work with. She was very responsive and helpful while setting up the photoshoot. During the shoot she provided the perfect amount of suggestions to get a great shot, while keeping the experience fun for us and our very energetic 2hr old. We had a blast and are so happy with how the pictures turned out. Thank you Ally!

We cannot recommend Ally highly enough! She was extremely easy to work with from at every step of the way. She was extremely helpful as we figured out what our photography needs were and helped customize a package for us that perfectly fit our needs. On our wedding day, all of the photos felt very natural and turned out stunning. She was excellent at giving guidance and direction without making anything feel forced or posed. We couldn't believe how quickly she turned around our first batch of photos, delivering a "sneak peek" mini-gallery with at least 30 or 40 images within a couple of days of the wedding! The photos look timeless and perfectly capture everything about the day. Hiring Ally ...

Ally is a wonderful photographer, her work is excellent. We had a really great experience with her. We had individual photos as well as a group shot. She made everyone feel very comfortable and was able to capture the personality of each person. She was so professional throughout the whole process, informative, efficient, and talented. We will definitely be coming back to update our headshots in the fall.
