Planning perspective
What to consider before reaching out
A strong first conversation is about fit, not just availability. Share your date, approximate guest count, location, and the feeling you want the day to have. Ask what is included, what typically changes the final quote, and what decisions need to be made earliest.
For a venue partner, confirm how communication works, who will be present on the day, and how the team handles changes. Pricing was not included in the supplied research, so request a current, itemized proposal directly from the business.

Our experience at Pleasant Valley Orchards was perfect. They say expect something to go wrong at your wedding, but truly nothing did. Mikaela went above and beyond to exude kindness and excitement on our day while also being organized and on top of everything. She made us feel special and worked extremely hard to get everything done. She gave suggestions and helped guide us in decisions but allowed us to do exactly what we wanted and customize our experience. I had friends who were disappointed with their wedding planner recently, and I'm so grateful we weren't even close to experiencing that disappointment. The venue speaks for itself, and we had near perfect weather but with the tent you c...

Pleasant valley orchards hosted our wedding and it could have not been more perfect! The location is ideal next to a ton of lodging where you still get that Vermont experience and vibe. We hired Mikaela as a coordinator (she’s also the owner) and she truly went above and beyond to make our day perfect! We also hired her bar services and the drinks were perfect and so tasty. On your wedding day you want people to be professional but also easy going and Mikaela and her team had a perfect balance. If you’re thinking about booking them do it!!!

We had the most incredible wedding at Pleasant Valley Orchards!! The location is beautiful and Mikaela was soso helpful, kind and easy to work with for 2 years leading up to our day and day of. We were able to choose all of our vendors, and we had access to the site several days in advance which was crucial for a DIY wedding. Tent, tables, chairs, bathrooms and so much more were already provided so it made a huge difference in cost for us as well. All of our guests said they had never been to a more beautiful spot for a wedding. We looked at so many venues and I honestly can’t imagine having our wedding anywhere else. Highly highly recommend having your wedding here!!

If you are even thinking about having your wedding here, stop searching and just do it. Choosing this venue, and working with Mikaela and her family, was the best decision we made for our wedding. They made our day feel like pure magic. Mikaela has a gift—she makes you feel like the most important people in the world, and she will do absolutely everything in her power to make your vision come to life. Every detail was handled with such care, and every space—from the ceremony to cocktail hour to the reception—felt like it was made just for us. The views are breathtaking, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the entire day flowed with ease and joy. I will never be able to fully express h...
