Planning perspective

What to consider before reaching out

A strong first conversation is about fit, not just availability. Share your date, approximate guest count, location, and the feeling you want the day to have. Ask what is included, what typically changes the final quote, and what decisions need to be made earliest.

For a venue partner, confirm how communication works, who will be present on the day, and how the team handles changes. Pricing was not included in the supplied research, so request a current, itemized proposal directly from the business.

We cannot say enough amazing things about our experience with this venue for our wedding! From our very first meeting with Gail, our sales coordinator, to the beautiful tasting event and our entire wedding weekend, everything was so seamless and thoughtfully done. The staff was incredibly kind, accommodating, and easy to work with every step of the way. Our wedding coordinator, Haleigh, was truly second to none. She went above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect, was always willing to help with anything we needed, and constantly checked in throughout the day to make sure we were doing okay. She was so upbeat, organized, and calm, and truly made the entire day run so smoothly. We are...

Only played golf. It was a very beautiful course. One of the greenest I have played. Nicklaus designs are always a fun challenge. Not a long course at all but still a great challenge. Just look at the slope indexes. Nice pro shop and an abundance of food options right in the same parking lot. We played it on a rainy day as it was part of a golf trip and I still enjoyed the course a lot.

Greg and his team were exceptional, and very friendly during our honey moon stay! We stayed in a beautiful cozy nano cottage, with amazing mountain views all around us. My husband and I were already planning our next stay here at this luxurious resort with our family and friends.

We stayed here for 2 nights to attend a wedding. The wedding was lovely but I cannot personally speak to any wedding planning, costs, etc. We stayed in the lodge. Our room was fine but very basic. For the cost, there should have been higher quality towels, quieter rooms, at least one luggage rack, two comfortable chairs, and a real closet (not a clothes caddy). Trollies for moving luggage from the car to the room would have been helpful, too. The TV streaming services were logged into other personal accounts - we couldn't clear the logins. I used the gym. It was adequate, but tricky to locate on the property. The scenery is lovely. So, it's s mixed bag.

I hands-down love every visit to Owl’s Nest. The grounds are gorgeous, the accommodations are beautiful, and the food is SO good. Their wedding and catering teams are truly top-notch - they know exactly what they’re doing, and as a planner, I LOVE working with them. And the venues - The LakeHouse, the Boathouse, and the Pavilion - are all absolutely stunning. They run such a tight ship and deliver incredible service from start to finish every time. Huge shoutout to Victoria and Lauren, who are always on top of every detail and such a joy to work with. I can’t wait for my next visit back and I truly can’t recommend Owl’s Nest enough for couples looking for an incredible resort to host their ...

Getting here

How far is this from home?

Pick the city you and most of your guests will be driving from and we will estimate the trip.

An estimate for planning, not live traffic. Leafy weekends in October always take longer.

For your guests

Lovely places to stay nearby

Omni Mount Washington Resort, Bretton Woods

Grand hotel rooms with the whole range out the window.

Christmas Farm Inn, Jackson

Country rooms and cottages for family and the wedding party.

Adair Country Inn, Bethlehem

Small, romantic, and lovely for the first night.

Three stops worth the detour

Somewhere pretty for photographs, and somewhere warm for a good cup of coffee.

Jackson Falls

Tiered water and old stone walls, minutes from the village.

Kancamagus Highway overlooks

The drive itself is the photograph, especially in October.

Frontside Coffee Roasters, North Conway

Friendly espresso before guests head up the notch.
