Planning perspective

What to consider before reaching out

A strong first conversation is about fit, not just availability. Share your date, approximate guest count, location, and the feeling you want the day to have. Ask what is included, what typically changes the final quote, and what decisions need to be made earliest.

For a venue partner, confirm how communication works, who will be present on the day, and how the team handles changes. Pricing was not included in the supplied research, so request a current, itemized proposal directly from the business.

Love the hotel and staff! Bed was comfortable. Rooms were clean. Towels were great. Robes were a nice touch. Staff was so nice and accommodating; from the front desk, to the cleaning staff, the wait staff in the restaurant, gift shop staff, and the barn. Barn manager (?) was knowledgeable and clearly enjoys his job. With the understanding that the hotel is very old, the bathrooms need to be upgraded. The toilet was made for little people and the fixtures in the tub are very old and inefficient. The faucet ran while fully in the shower position. Despite that, the shower gave good pressure and we had plenty of hot water. The carpeting is stained throughout the building and looks awful. It def...

It doesn't get much prettier than the gorgeous, old grand hotels of the White Mountains. The view is spectacular, rooms are very clean, facility has so much to offer families or couples. I've stayed a handful of times. Cocktails are great. Food is decent. Service is fantastic. And the property is expansive with golf, axe throwing, pools, outdoor lawn games and fire pits. Being an ag nerd, the on site farm and children's educational activities is a definite favorite for me.

This place was absolutely gorgeous. We had a beautiful Mountain View from our room upon arrival. All the special Little requests were done the rose petals. They made the towels into swans all the snacks were there. They even included a little happy anniversary gift. The resort has a lot of amenities there’s always something to do from having s’mores at an outside campfire to get your hair done getting massages game night movie theater with popcorn. They also had an amazing petting zoo full of a lot of different animals that you get to pet and feed it was so cool Everything was included. The indoor heated pool was so relaxing after a long day of running around outside Amanda and Keriann went...

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We stayed at Mountain View Grand for the second year in a row, and after this trip, it’s officially become our family’s annual summer tradition. We had a group of 8 adults, 6 young kids, and even brought our two dogs—and there was truly something for everyone. We spent one full day at Santa’s Village (if you’re going, definitely rent a pool cabana…it’s 100% worth it!) and the rest of our vacation enjoying everything the resort and surrounding area have to offer. The daily activities are incredible. There’s always something happening, and our kids looked forward to checking the schedule every morning. A special shoutout to the young man who hosted the evening s’mores and activities—he ...

We had an amazing stay at the Mountain View. The views are like no other. The pool was amazing. Staff is terrific and responsive. I would have hope for one more food option after staying there a few days, but there are some good options if you are willing to hop in the car and go. We look forward to coming back. I could sit on that front veranda the entire trip.

Getting here

How far is this from home?

Pick the city you and most of your guests will be driving from and we will estimate the trip.

An estimate for planning, not live traffic. Leafy weekends in October always take longer.

For your guests

Lovely places to stay nearby

Omni Mount Washington Resort, Bretton Woods

Grand hotel rooms with the whole range out the window.

Christmas Farm Inn, Jackson

Country rooms and cottages for family and the wedding party.

Adair Country Inn, Bethlehem

Small, romantic, and lovely for the first night.

Three stops worth the detour

Somewhere pretty for photographs, and somewhere warm for a good cup of coffee.

Jackson Falls

Tiered water and old stone walls, minutes from the village.

Kancamagus Highway overlooks

The drive itself is the photograph, especially in October.

Frontside Coffee Roasters, North Conway

Friendly espresso before guests head up the notch.
