Planning perspective
What to consider before reaching out
A strong first conversation is about fit, not just availability. Share your date, approximate guest count, location, and the feeling you want the day to have. Ask what is included, what typically changes the final quote, and what decisions need to be made earliest.
For a venue partner, confirm how communication works, who will be present on the day, and how the team handles changes. Pricing was not included in the supplied research, so request a current, itemized proposal directly from the business.

Emily and I were married at Mountain Star Estate on July 11, 2026, in front of 150 guests, and it was the best day of our lives. The venue is a big part of why. The single thing we would tell any couple considering MSE: we had the property from Thursday at noon. Two full days before the wedding. That changed everything. We set up at our own pace, ran the rehearsal Friday afternoon, and slept on site with our families in the farmhouse instead of scattering across town. By Saturday morning there was nothing left to do but get married. If you have ever been to a wedding where the couple spent the morning hauling boxes and chasing vendors, understand that MSE is built specifically so that does ...

Words alone cannot describe the beauty and excellence of Mountain Star Estate and its staff, you just have to go visit or host an event there to see. We got married here on October 4th, 2025, and it couldn’t have been a more perfect weekend. Sharon and Trav went above and beyond to ensure that we did not have to worry about anything and that we could enjoy our special day. Adrian also ensured that everything was organized by communicating with our vendors and allowing us to focus on each other and our family. This team genuinely cares about you and makes you and your loved ones feel like family. The ability to have 30 of our closest friends and family with us at The Farmhouse all weekend was...

Mountain Star Estate is THE place to have your wedding. We first toured Mountain Star Estate in December of 2023, and we were instantly blown away by all this venue had to offer. It was the one and only venue we toured! Hosting an extended weekend directly on site with accommodations for all of your closest friends and family made for an unforgettable weekend. It’s a rare occasion to have all the most important people in your life come together all at the same time, and being able to all stay together at the Farmhouse kept the party rolling all weekend long. We ate fabulous food, had adventures on the lake, played an endless amount of lawn games, and enjoyed amazing fires under the stars. W...

The lodging was exceptional and the set up was on point upon arrival. Communication from the hosts on the lead up was strong to quite strong and our group that arrived intermittently after check in each had clear communication which was quite helpful. The first to arrive found access with ease and the later folks were greeted with stress free smiles from friends which led to an immediate relaxation for all across the board. The gathering areas are rustically well appointed with all details accounted for. The history of the property is apparent in all areas ranging from its homesteading past, Appalachian Trail through hiking hostel era, and modernized, large gathering spaces coupled with ...

My husband and I got married 8/10/24 at Mountain Star and it was truly the most amazing experience. The owners, coordinator, and entire Mountain Star team were awesome to work with. Their attention to detail and kindness made our entire weekend so perfect. We chose to have our entire wedding party stay at the property for three nights and it was so worth it. Having the ability to stay directly at the venue with our closest friends was awesome and made our wedding weekend even more special. All of our friends said it was like a mini vacation and we were just so happy to have everyone there together. The venue itself is gorgeous and maintained so well. To this day our guests are still raving a...
