What to consider before reaching out
A strong first conversation is about fit, not just availability. Share your date, approximate guest count, location, and the feeling you want the day to have. Ask what is included, what typically changes the final quote, and what decisions need to be made earliest.
For a photo & video partner, confirm how communication works, who will be present on the day, and how the team handles changes. Pricing was not included in the supplied research, so request a current, itemized proposal directly from the business.

I’ve worked with a few photographers before and Jodi is easily the best photographer I have ever worked with. She was punctual, professional and directive without being rude or unkind. I can’t thank her and her team enough for memorializing our big day for us and our family. I can’t believe how BEAUTIFULLY these photos came out. She had amazing ideas for where to take photos and didn’t make us feel awkward when posing, which was important to me and my husband. Honestly, these pics speak for themselves. Are we kidding ?!

We recently did a maternity photoshoot here, and Jodi was amazing. She did a great job every picture turned out beautiful. She was very professional, friendly, and made us feel comfortable throughout the session. The studio is neat and well-organized, with in-studio hair and makeup options and access to a wardrobe, which made everything very convenient. Highly recommend this place, and we’re looking forward to coming back for our newborn’s shoot.

Jodi and her team did an incredible job capturing our wedding day. It snowed on the day of and she and Amy were not afraid to get deep in the snow to get the best shot! Jodi was highly detail-oriented during the planning process and made sure everything stayed on track, which helped the wedding day be stress-free. We couldn’t be more thrilled with the final product (which we got very quickly!) and highly recommend her for anyone looking for a wedding photographer.

Millyard Studios is the absolute best. Jodi and the team were amazing throughout the whole process (from planning prior to our big day, working with us and our other vendors at the wedding, and coordinating with us after the wedding). We couldn't be happier with the value we got too. The whole Millyard team is great to work with (very organized and professional), they make it fun, and most importantly they take stunning photos. They were a joy to work with and we would absolutely recommend them - don't make the mistake of not hiring them for your big day!

Truly can't say enough about how wonderful of an experience we had all around with Jodi and her assistant, Emily, during our newborn photo shoot session. Not only were they able to get me in the next day after reaching out, but their professionalism, level of patience and desire to meet the vision we had for the photos, spoke for itself. Not to mention the true genuine enjoyment they got from working with our baby. If you're looking for someone who truly cares about capturing the moments you never want to forget I would absolutely recommend Jodi and her team at Millyard Studios!
