Planning perspective

What to consider before reaching out

A strong first conversation is about fit, not just availability. Share your date, approximate guest count, location, and the feeling you want the day to have. Ask what is included, what typically changes the final quote, and what decisions need to be made earliest.

For a hotel rooms partner, confirm how communication works, who will be present on the day, and how the team handles changes. Pricing was not included in the supplied research, so request a current, itemized proposal directly from the business.

My family and I just stayed here for 4 nights and it was great. Rooms were all clean and the customer service was so helpful. It's also located very close to the downtown bar harbor area. We were able to park in our lot for free and walk to all the restaurants and shops! Which was very nice to be able to save the hassle of having to park in the crowded downtown area. Definitely would stay here again.

We stayed to celebrate a friend's wedding. The rooms were clean and simple. They are ideally located on main st. They don't do breakfast, but they have a great selection of healthy choices and coffee at all hours, both day and night. And let's face facts, most hotels free breakfast just suck. Kudos for providing better snacks then a crappy breakfast.

The office staff couldn't have been more friendly. They greeted us as though we were long-awaited old friends. Snacks were available for us in the welcome area. Our room was comfortable and included all the necessities. For the price, I did not expect the comfortable bed or the cozy comforts. It is walking distance from all the great downtown shops and the waterfront, and it includes free parking. I will never stay anywhere else in Bar Harbor.

Reviews are certainly one of the reasons I chose Main Street Motel for my vacation lodging. The location is perfect, just south of the bustle of Main Street but such a convenient setting. Rooms are clean and perfect for regrouping & resting after long days of adventuring the Mount Desert Island! The staff is so incredibly helpful too, giving us a list of all the restaurants and suggestions. The reception area is well stocked with coffee, water & refill station, yogurt & snacks, and fresh fruit! So pleased and highly recommend for a budget friendly option in Bar Harbor!

It was maintained well. But, not much privacy. You can hear people walking above the ceiling and also the bed is right in front of the door to the street/ parking. The staff was nice. They offer free coffee and some small items such as banana and oatmeal for breakfast. Have to say that it’s too expensive for what you get. After all it’s just a regular motel.

An estimate for planning, not live traffic. Leafy weekends in October always take longer.
