Planning perspective
What to consider before reaching out
A strong first conversation is about fit, not just availability. Share your date, approximate guest count, location, and the feeling you want the day to have. Ask what is included, what typically changes the final quote, and what decisions need to be made earliest.
For a entertainment partner, confirm how communication works, who will be present on the day, and how the team handles changes. Pricing was not included in the supplied research, so request a current, itemized proposal directly from the business.

We had DJ Hayden Mailloux for our wedding at the Margate Resort. He worked through all the details with us for every aspect of the music for the ceremony and reception and was very accommodating to any requests or ideas we had. He was able to incorporate our musical tastes and create a playlist that was easy to dance along with. Our dance floor was filled all night and I couldn't recommend him more for your wedding.

We got married on June 13, 2026, and used Main Event Entertainment for our DJ, uplighting, and photo booth. Our DJ, Brien Lafferty, did a phenomenal job from start to finish. We had a lot of specific requests, and while it seemed like a lot to fit into one evening, Brien incorporated everything seamlessly. He announced our fireworks show and made sure everyone was in position before it started. He also helped incorporate traditional Greek dances, along with special songs to honor family members who are no longer with us. For our ceremony, he even sliced and mixed our music exactly the way we envisioned. My cousin sang our first dance song and Brien made sure he was ready to go for that. La...

DJ Dan, thank you so very much for making our wedding a smashing success. From the start you took the time to get to know both Peter and I as individuals and as a couple. Through thoughtful questionnaires, zoom meetings, and analyzing our music tastes you learned about us. The care you put into crafting the most wonderful day was evident. You got people on the dance floor we never thought we’d see busting a move! Your clear communication, reliability, and energy make you a phenomenal DJ. I was so worried about how our guests would hear the ceremony at the top of a mountain with no electricity - you had everything handled with mini mics and a portable speaker, even with the blazing sun beatin...

We attended a Main Event showcase which was super helpful in getting to know some DJs. We ultimately chose DJ Hayden Mailloux and he was LITERALLY PERFECT FOR OUR WEDDING!!! Seriously, from our first meeting right through our wedding day on 6/27, he was incredibly professional, supportive, and very fun to work with! He is also an *excellent* communicator. We wanted our wedding to feel like us with some nontraditional music and have a fun blend of EDM, pop-punk, current remixes/mashups and some latin music and he gave us EXACTLY what we wanted and more- it was STELLAR! Family and friends are STILL commenting on how Hayden was "on point!" and "the best DJ I've heard at a wedding!" My husband ...
