Planning perspective
What to consider before reaching out
A strong first conversation is about fit, not just availability. Share your date, approximate guest count, location, and the feeling you want the day to have. Ask what is included, what typically changes the final quote, and what decisions need to be made earliest.
For a catering partner, confirm how communication works, who will be present on the day, and how the team handles changes. Pricing was not included in the supplied research, so request a current, itemized proposal directly from the business.

After our wedding caterer cancelled on us last minute, Laura Cabot helped me and my husband out immensely supplying appetizers for our wedding, and we couldn't have had any better! Laura was a dream to work with and so helpful, and we are forever grateful to her and her wonderful crew. Thank you!!

This past summer my company worked with Laura for an event at the Center for Maine Contemporary Art. Laura and her staff were incredibly kind, professional, and flexible. Throughout the evening, guests continually complimented the food and the presentation. Laura thought of EVERYTHING, from the food to the serve ware, and even provided some beautiful flowers to place on the table. Our event would not have been as successful as it was without the help of Laura Cabot and her wonderful staff! I would recommend her to anyone in Maine (and beyond!).

Laura is an artist with food. She also understands people. Laura creates events with style, warmth, and elegance. She has a great sense of how to awe with food while making the overall experience accessible and comfortable. Her grace and ease as a human being permeates her staff, her food and ambiance. I would have expected to pay much more for the quality of the food, staff and experience. We were pleasantly surprised at the affordability of our event. If you are interested in an elegant and affordable affair that friends and family will remember for years to come, look no further than Laura Cabot Catering.

Laura Cabot catered my daughter's wedding in Cape Elizabeth over the summer, and it was over the top, fantastic food, presentation and service. The passed appetizers (including lobster rolls, Maine coast specialties and finger foods) and charcuterie on trays were exquisite, and the cocktail hour was followed by a fabulous dinner. The main courses were among the best I've had at local weddings, all with fresh local vegetable sides and a tossed garden salad dressed with Laura's secret recipe. You need to try it to believe it. Working with Laura was a pleasure: she is professional and an artist with her preparations. It's no surprise that she's been among the best in the coastal Maine catering ...

Laura was the caterer to our wedding on August 19th, 2023, in South Thomaston Maine. She was helpful from the first conversation when we were putting together a menu. We had a nice tasting of the menu prior to the wedding and everything we ate was delicious. We knew we were making the right decision for the food for our wedding. On the day of the wedding, all went as planned and we were happy with the service and the quality. Thank you so much, Laura!
