Planning perspective
What to consider before reaching out
A strong first conversation is about fit, not just availability. Share your date, approximate guest count, location, and the feeling you want the day to have. Ask what is included, what typically changes the final quote, and what decisions need to be made earliest.
For a catering partner, confirm how communication works, who will be present on the day, and how the team handles changes. Pricing was not included in the supplied research, so request a current, itemized proposal directly from the business.

The wonderful team at Lake and Co. catered our rehearsal dinner and made our wedding cake. The entire process was a breeze - patient with back and forth on the menu, accommodating of allergies, prompt communication and coordination, and the food was so fresh and delicious. My dream wedding cake was lemon with cream cheese frosting and WOW did they deliver on that! I was thrilled and guests shared rave reviews. I wholeheartedly recommend this awesome team!

We are endlessly and beyond thrilled with our decision to include Hannah and the whole Lake & Co. team into our wedding. From day 1, they brought a thoughtful and custom approach to our special day. There were no templated, one-size-fits-all menu options that looked more or less exactly like every other caterer in the area—Rather, we had an open and fun conversation around our likes, dislikes, and any other desires we had for the day. Hannah and her team embraced our ideas, and worked with us on ways we could incorporate special touches while still remaining within our budget. While many caterers we initially spoke with made us feel like our wedding was just another day to make some money, H...

Kate’s communication throughout the entire wedding planning process was on point! She was so kind and accommodating every step of the way. The food was INCREDIBLE, from the apps at cocktail hour to the beautifully decorated cakes at the end of dinner. The beef tenderloin melted in your mouth alongside the most colorful and flavorful tabouleh. We requested a black gluten free cake to complement our gothic wedding, and Kate’s on-staff baker absolutely delivered! We would hire Lake & Co again in a heartbeat!

Lake & Co catered dinners for our group of ten during a bachelorette weekend in Boothbay. The food was a hit and Kate was very easy to work with. We chose food from the "just the food" menu, so it was dropped off with reheat instructions for us to prepare at our convenience. Highly recommend!

just wow. I’ve been lucky enough to have had a lot of incredible food in my life, and I can confidently say that the food (and drinks!) Hannah and her team prepared for our wedding was some of the best. Lake & Co was so outstanding to work with, not only for being incredibly accommodating of my dietary restriction (celiac and gluten free), but just for their kindness, communicativeness, and enthusiasm about what they do! thank you all for what you were able to put together for our wedding weekend, it was nothing short of outstanding ❤️
