Planning perspective

What to consider before reaching out

A strong first conversation is about fit, not just availability. Share your date, approximate guest count, location, and the feeling you want the day to have. Ask what is included, what typically changes the final quote, and what decisions need to be made earliest.

For a hair & beauty partner, confirm how communication works, who will be present on the day, and how the team handles changes. Pricing was not included in the supplied research, so request a current, itemized proposal directly from the business.

I found Katrina via searching Google Reviews and was so impressed I came back here to leave my own! I contacted Katrina to have professional makeup done for a major work presentation. She responded promptly to schedule me and was so accommodating, personable, and of course skilled at her work. She squeezed me in early before the workday, and when I arrived she already had multiple lip color options picked out. Prepared, professional, and just the person you want to trust with big events!

Organized a session with Katrina for a friend’s birthday. We had been wanting to feel more confident when it came to applying make-up. Katrina has a beautiful studio on Newbury Street. We learned so much and also got to practice the techniques on ourselves under her helpful and experienced eye. We also received great product recommendations. Would absolutely recommend- whether looking for individual or small group sessions.

I had a wonderful experience with Katrina! From start to finish, she was incredibly professional and attentive. What truly impressed me was her keen eye for detail and understanding of color and tone, which made all the difference in achieving the perfect look. She taught me practical techniques that are super easy to incorporate into my daily routine for a beautiful, natural makeup look. I left feeling confident and empowered!

Katrina is wonderful!! I’ve always worn makeup, but felt like my old products and techniques were no longer working for me now that I’m in my mid-50s. I was looking for someone to give me a personalized lesson and emailed Katrina; she responded right away and called to explain her services. When I arrived in her gorgeous studio, Katrina set me at ease immediately. After initial questions about skincare and what look I wanted to achieve, we went through my makeup and brushes to decide what to keep (I haven’t been thrilled with my makeup for a long time, so I was ready to start over). Katrina selected the perfect colors and formulas to suit me and walked me through applying them. She’s a maste...

I have been going to Katrina for over six months now for brow shaping and tinting and have to say that she is the BEST I have found in many years of searching locally and nationally (I travel often)! I had been searching for someone who is a true professional brow artist and is consistent in their work. Someone who really knows how to enhance the shape of brows yet still make them look natural. Kristina does all of this and more! Little did I know that this award winning and acclaimed artist was in my Boston neighborhood and from my hometown (Pittsburgh!). Katrina took the time in my first two appointments to be sure I liked the shape of my brows as she was working on them in addition t...
