Planning perspective
What to consider before reaching out
A strong first conversation is about fit, not just availability. Share your date, approximate guest count, location, and the feeling you want the day to have. Ask what is included, what typically changes the final quote, and what decisions need to be made earliest.
For a hair & beauty partner, confirm how communication works, who will be present on the day, and how the team handles changes. Pricing was not included in the supplied research, so request a current, itemized proposal directly from the business.

I had the pleasure to have my make-up done at my Brothers and Sister In-Laws wedding 7 years ago by Joanne. I absolutely loved how my make-up came out, and I always told myself I wanted Joanne to be the make-up artist for my wedding one day! You would have never know 7 years past from the first time I met Joanne. She is truly the sweetest! She has this warmth and kind hearted personality that just puts everything at ease. I was impressed 7 years ago, and she impressed me again after my trial! I forgot how light and airy her make-up felt. Almost like you had nothing on, but she makes you look stunning, and it lasts ALL day long. I never wanted to take the make-up off! I was honored to have ...

I cannot recommend Joanne highly enough. She was absolutely incredible leading up to the wedding and during the wedding. She was easy to work with, responsive, and genuinely fun to talk to. She was a blast to hang out with the day of the wedding. My mother had a lot of stress about the makeup experience and Joanne made her feel not only comfortable but beautiful. Every one of my bridesmaids looked stunning. I have a lot of insecurities in regards to my looks and she made me feel stunning the entire night of the wedding. We were obsessed with her. Would recommend her to anyone looking for beautiful and refined makeup with kindness.

Joanne created absolutely STUNNING makeup looks for the bride and her wedding party this past weekend! As a wedding photographer, I hear brides say all the time that they want a natural look for their day (which is what this past weekend's bride told me she was hoping for) and that can sometimes result in makeup that is too light and invisible in photos OR ends up way too glam for them. Joanne truly struck the perfect balance between natural and glam, the makeup showed beautifully in photos, and it stayed put all day!! My favorite thing about Joanne though, and the reason I felt really compelled to write this review, is that she clearly loves and cares about what she does so incredibly muc...

I can’t say enough great things about Joanne. She’s a total gem in this industry. If you’re looking for a makeup artist that enhances your natural beauty and then some, Jo is your girl on wedding day.

Joanne made me feel beautiful, both inside and out. She went above and beyond to make sure I felt comfortable and confident for the start of our wedding weekend. I cannot recommend Joanne enough. I am already looking forward to the next event that will give me an excuse to book her again for makeup services.
