Planning perspective
What to consider before reaching out
A strong first conversation is about fit, not just availability. Share your date, approximate guest count, location, and the feeling you want the day to have. Ask what is included, what typically changes the final quote, and what decisions need to be made earliest.
For a catering partner, confirm how communication works, who will be present on the day, and how the team handles changes. Pricing was not included in the supplied research, so request a current, itemized proposal directly from the business.

We hired Jake’s Clambake to do a lobster feast for my bachelorette party and it was truly incredible and a highlight of the trip for everyone. They were so flexible, accommodating and truly we felt like it was money very well spent! I would highly recommend them for your group festivities.

We’ve used Jake’s clambakes several times now— both for clambakes and takeout smash burgers. My children love the burgers and our clambakes have always been delicious and well executed! Highly recommend!

Jake’s Clambake is five stars all around… planning, execution, food quality!! We hosted a clambake for 20 and everything was perfect. We rented tables and chairs (chairs are the nice wooden ones). Raw bar is served cold on a tray of ice. Each clambake serving arrived hot in an individual pan with lobster, clams, corn, potatoes and chowder. Dan was very prompt and responsive and easy to work with. We will definitely use Jake’s again. Great value and food was delicious!!

If you want a great meal with little cleanup, I would highly recommend Jake's Clambakes & Kitchen. The food is outstanding! Best seafood and burgers in the area. I thank them at least once a week for making dinner.

The lobster was good, but quite a few shells in the mix. Chunks of lobster are nice but a little too big for the roll. The buttered roll was very good.
