Planning perspective
What to consider before reaching out
A strong first conversation is about fit, not just availability. Share your date, approximate guest count, location, and the feeling you want the day to have. Ask what is included, what typically changes the final quote, and what decisions need to be made earliest.
For a hotel rooms partner, confirm how communication works, who will be present on the day, and how the team handles changes. Pricing was not included in the supplied research, so request a current, itemized proposal directly from the business.

My husband and I flew across country to Pittsfield for surgery. I chose The Hotel on North at first because of it’s proximity to the hospital and it looked so charming. From the very first phone call, I knew this hotel was different. The service is top notch. Andrew helped coordinate my stay and is an extraordinary host. He understood my needs for after surgery and put me in a room that suited my needs and exceeded my expectations. We felt like we were staying at a friend’s lovely home rather than a hotel. It was quiet, cozy, very comfortable and with room to move around. The staff was always available if we needed something. Having surgery is no vacation, but recovering in a place you feel ...

My husband and I are fairly local but wanted to do a weekend in the Berkshires. We had a lot of plans - from museums to hiking to food. I was drawn by the location and uniqueness of Hotel on North and we were not disappointed. Such a fun, comfortable, artsy place! Easy access to everything we wanted to do and walking distance to lots of great food. All topped off by a knowledgeable and attentive staff. Thanks Hotel on North!

Stayed overnight in August 2026. Large well-lit spacious, spotless rooms with character. Bathrooms large and well organized. Better lighting in the bathroom would have made it easier to apply undereye concealer, but there was a make up mirror that I could take out in the hotel room, which had good lighting.

I love this hotel… Incredible service and kindness… Andrew was so helpful and just amazing. It’s cozy, cute, the rooms are clean and big. The towels are bath towels!!!!! So big!!! The shower gel is eucalyptus scents… not a gross fake perfume smell. The bed is comfy! Such a lovely lovely hotel in the middle of a cute historic town!

We traveled as a party of four with two adults and two older teenagers. The hotel is conveniently located on the main street with good access and a parking behind the building. The lobby is tastefully decorated with beautiful seating areas on each floor. There is a game room with various board games and a ping-pong table as well. The room was comfortable with a kitchenette and a spacious bathroom. The area has many restaurants to choose from. The staff was friendly and helpful at all times. I would definitely come back here if am in this area again.
