Planning perspective
What to consider before reaching out
A strong first conversation is about fit, not just availability. Share your date, approximate guest count, location, and the feeling you want the day to have. Ask what is included, what typically changes the final quote, and what decisions need to be made earliest.
For a venue partner, confirm how communication works, who will be present on the day, and how the team handles changes. Pricing was not included in the supplied research, so request a current, itemized proposal directly from the business.

We got married at Hildene in June 2026. Theresa and her team made our wedding an exceptional day! We had so much fun and everything was executed flawlessly. Our guests have reached out to compliment us on having “the best wedding ever” and the Hildene team made that possible. Specifically, there was heavy emphasis on how organized everything was and the great level of service they provided to our guests’ experience. Theresa, took amazing care of us throughout this entire planning process and it made us so comfortable and relaxed on our day because we knew she was on top of it. So many of our guests went to check out the museum, Pullman car, and farm over the weekend and they all came bac...

Incredibly preserved self-efficient house and farm with a piece of American history. Staff we met are all very friendly and highly knowledgeable about the place. Do visit every spot on the map. Spend the whole afternoon here. If going to Dene farm, do take their golf car service as it is a bit far and the roads aren't perfectly paved. Strongly recommend if you are near Manchester!

Beautiful, historical property with a lot to see and do! Plan to spend the whole day, from visiting the house, to the goat barn, to the main barn, to the train car, there is so much to see and do. Everyone was so knowledgeable and friendly. The property is beautiful and well-cared for. Such a great opportunity to learn more about the Lincoln family and their time in Vermont.

Was a nice few hours spent. Some cool history about the Lincoln’s not really Abraham himself however there is some stuff there. It’s more about his son Robert and his children. Nice walking trails to get to different locations. Is not free a bit much in my opinion but was still worth it. Everyone who works there is great and will answer any questions.

Spring has sprung! Had a great time visiting all the baby animals and walking around the property. Hannah at The Dene farm was great to chat with about all the animals and their stories. You can tell she loves them! On the way back up the hill we stopped by the Pullman car and were pleasantly surprised to get a full on history and tour of the “Sunbeam” by Jack. Great place to visit for all ages. We will be back again!
