Planning perspective

What to consider before reaching out

A strong first conversation is about fit, not just availability. Share your date, approximate guest count, location, and the feeling you want the day to have. Ask what is included, what typically changes the final quote, and what decisions need to be made earliest.

For a venue partner, confirm how communication works, who will be present on the day, and how the team handles changes. Pricing was not included in the supplied research, so request a current, itemized proposal directly from the business.

I loved photographing a wedding at this venue! The barn was gorgeous and the property had beautiful landscaping. The ceremony was in a quiet spot in the woods making it feel even more intimate. My clients had their dinner in a tent and there was plenty of space on the property to do so. A favorite touch of mine was the horseshoes in the barn that were signed by all of the past couples who had gotten married there! That was very thoughtful and made the venue feel more personal! I hope to work here again in the future! -Carly T. Photography

I stumbled upon the Hardy Farm venue not long after we got engaged and I couldn't quite get it out of my head. We visited Hardy Farm in January 2024 and even in the snow, I knew it was the one. When we pulled up the weekend of our wedding this past August, even though it was raining that day, the gardens were blooming and we couldn't be more excited. After our weekend at Hardy Farm we wish we could stay there once a year. The homey feeling and sweet serenity of the property in the White Mountains was perfect. Our guests were truly stunned with how exquisite everything was. The Barn, the Gardens, the Woodland Chapel, just everything! One of our family members couldn't stop talking about how s...

I recently photographed a wedding at Hardy Farm in Fryeburg, and it was such a beautiful experience. The venue has this perfect balance of rustic charm and timeless elegance, from the bright, white barn to the peaceful wooded ceremony space. It’s a wonderful spot for couples looking for that quintessential Maine feel.

My husband and I toured several wedding venues, and Hardy Farm blew all of the others out of the water. Their pricing is incredibly fair for what they have to offer; full access to the farmhouse, lodge, tent, and barn before and after your wedding. Many of the other venues we toured had pretty outdoor scenery but lacked decent options for indoors in case of inclement weather. The interior of the barn was stunning, and we would not have been disappointed having an indoor wedding in case of rain. Greg & Deborah were both very responsive and accommodating from the moment we first inquired with them, to answering questions throughout the weeks leading up to our wedding, and even after. We canno...

My wife and I immediately fell in love when we visited Hardy Farm for the first time, and we are so glad we selected this venue. The wedding turned out even more beautiful than we had imagined, and our guests loved it there! Some highlights from our experience: - Having a full weekend to celebrate with our closest family members and friends, who we housed on-site, was really special. - The Woodland Chapel is a beautiful ceremony site, especially for the outdoors-loving. Our jaws dropped when we saw it fully decorated for our Indian ceremony. Our guests shared the same experience. - Our wedding was at the end of the summer. The flowers in the garden were all fully bloomed, and made for the pe...
