Planning perspective

What to consider before reaching out

A strong first conversation is about fit, not just availability. Share your date, approximate guest count, location, and the feeling you want the day to have. Ask what is included, what typically changes the final quote, and what decisions need to be made earliest.

For a florals partner, confirm how communication works, who will be present on the day, and how the team handles changes. Pricing was not included in the supplied research, so request a current, itemized proposal directly from the business.

I called an hour before closing to get a bouquet to my daughter after she had surgery. They made up a beautiful bouquet and delivered it within 2 hours. And the delivery person was really kind and sweet. I think the person who helped me over the phone was named Deb. Highly recommend!

I had a destination wedding at Portland headlight in the beginning of September. I was at a loss looking for flowers - I know nothing about flowers, I didn't live locally, these would be the ONLY decorations at the ceremony, and I was looking to do something special without breaking the bank. I actually called Whole Foods asking for recommendations of local florists and that's how I got in contact with Rachel from Fleur De Lis. She got back to my right away, the prices were totally reasonable, and I knew right away she was someone I could trust with my special day. Her arrangements were a work of art. The flowers were better than I could have imagined and they were local, organic, and sour...

I have received and ordered bouquets from Fleur De Lis for about 15 years. Their arrangements are always gorgeous and unique. They use a beautiful variety of flowers and they last well too. Highly recommend!

Warning: Super shady business. I placed an order online for my uncle’s funeral. Not only were the flowers never delivered, but I was never notified that the florist cancelled the order. Had I not asked someone to take a photo of the arrangement, they would have just pocketed the money. Avoid ordering from FTD if Fleur De Lis is the local partnered florist!

Fleur De Lis was absolutely wonderful! I hired them as the florist for my wedding and i’m so glad I did! They did such a beautiful job on my bouquet and the flowers for my ceremony arch. They were prompt, professional and delivered more than I could have dreamed! I would highly highly recommend them for any of your floral needs!!
