Planning perspective

What to consider before reaching out

A strong first conversation is about fit, not just availability. Share your date, approximate guest count, location, and the feeling you want the day to have. Ask what is included, what typically changes the final quote, and what decisions need to be made earliest.

For a catering partner, confirm how communication works, who will be present on the day, and how the team handles changes. Pricing was not included in the supplied research, so request a current, itemized proposal directly from the business.

For our wedding in Maine this August, we knew that food needed to be a focus. I really wanted our wedding to feel like a dinner party and our venue didn't have a full kitchen, so we needed a caterer who would bring everything they needed to cook. We are so lucky our coordinator recommended Fire & Co.They were perfect. Our guests have not stopped raving about the food. We went with a family-style service, which helped ensure everyone was able to try everything rather than be locked in on a single entree that they had selected months before. Our friends and family RAVED about the lobster rolls specifically, but everything was so delicious and fresh. I also really loved that all of their meals ...

We are so happy that we chose Fire and Co to cater our wedding and rehearsal dinner at Autumn Lane Estate! From initial booking to our tasting to the wedding day, they were so organized, professional, responsive, and easy to work with. Sarah was our event manager and she did an incredible job throughout the planning process and during our events to make everything run smoothly. The food was phenomenal - super tasty and beautiful presentation. Several guests told us it was the best food they had had at a wedding!

Don't walk, RUN to hire Fire and Co. for your wedding or event. We feel so lucky to have worked with them for our 2023 wedding. Ryan, Matt, Margie, Sarah, and the entire team were accommodating and attentive from start to finish. They felt like one big wonderful family and were so helpful throughout the entire planning process. Not to mention the food is incredible! We love supporting their local events, pizza truck, and restaurant too.

When it came to planning our wedding, the food was of the highest priority from the start. We wanted something unique and we wanted people talking about our food after the wedding - Fire & Co delivered and then some! We started the weekend with a Fire & Co catered rehearsal dinner that was unlike anything our guests had ever seen. Appetizers included tacos, brisket sliders and a bar stocked with all of our favorites. The team even went out of their way to secure us a keg of Maine Beer Co's Lunch IPA. For the main event, the wood fired pizzas (especially the meatball with ricotta!) had our friends and family happily devouring slice after slice while insisting that everyone try each variety. T...

The best choice we ever made for our wedding was hiring Fire & Co. to cater! The food is amazing and their entire team (Matt + Margie especially) are so great to work with. Our guests have been gushing about how good the food was for weeks now and we loved how flexible the menu was. Highly recommend!
