Planning perspective
What to consider before reaching out
A strong first conversation is about fit, not just availability. Share your date, approximate guest count, location, and the feeling you want the day to have. Ask what is included, what typically changes the final quote, and what decisions need to be made earliest.
For a florals partner, confirm how communication works, who will be present on the day, and how the team handles changes. Pricing was not included in the supplied research, so request a current, itemized proposal directly from the business.

We had a wonderful experience with Valerie/Fawn Meadow Flowers for our Portland, Maine wedding! When she dropped off my bouquet the afternoon of my wedding I welled up with tears over how beautiful they were and how perfectly she had captured my organic vision. Valerie was professional, flexible to meet our budgetary needs, and open to changes leading up to our big day. She did an incredible job with our florals but also installed a suspended greenery arbor of our dreams. As someone who cares about sustainability, I especially appreciated her use of locally grown florals and greenery sourced from her very own farm! I still have guests talking about her own grown stunning dahlias months later...

I couldn't be happier with the stunning floral arrangement created by Valerie! The arrangement was absolutely breathtaking. Overflowing with vibrant, fresh blooms in a gorgeous mix of colors and textures. From delicate ranunculus and playful cornflowers to lush hydrangeas and foxgloves, every stem was perfectly placed and artfully styled!!! Thank you!! You can tell that she pours her heart into her craft, and her attention to detail is second to none. Highly recommend for any special occasion or if you just want to brighten someone’s day with something truly extraordinary.

Fawn Meadow Flowers did all of the florals and greenery at our wedding in Fall of 2023. The end result was perfect in every way and exactly how we had envisioned. Valerie was so easy to work with and took the little direction given and made the dream! Everything from the bouquet, to the tables, and our greenery on the dance floor - we loved! It was also special that a lot of what was shown was grown at the farm. Thank you!

Valerie did the flowers for my wedding in June and I am still dreaming about them. She was the perfect vendor - responsive, budget conscious, and extremely professional. My guests were blown away with the elegance and tastefulness of our flowers. I was really dismayed to see some negative reviews of Valerie’s small business, particularly when it comes to bridal florals. Please use Valerie for your wedding flowers! You will not be disappointed! I cannot recommend Valerie and Fawn Meadows enough for any florist needs. Thank you, Valerie!!
