Planning perspective

What to consider before reaching out

A strong first conversation is about fit, not just availability. Share your date, approximate guest count, location, and the feeling you want the day to have. Ask what is included, what typically changes the final quote, and what decisions need to be made earliest.

For a photo & video partner, confirm how communication works, who will be present on the day, and how the team handles changes. Pricing was not included in the supplied research, so request a current, itemized proposal directly from the business.

Why this business stood out

Lis has been fantastic with our engagement and wedding photos! She gave us great direction at our engagement shoot and we have used those photos for our save the dates and website. She listens and is considerate of the shots you really want. She also provides emotional support when things are less than perfect, like when it’s raining on your wedding day and your dress isn’t cooperating. We can’t wait to see our wedding photos.

We hired Lis for a family photography session while on vacation in Vermont. We spoke before about how our children have special needs and the shoot may be a bit difficult. Lis came with the most supportive and friendly demeanor. She truly made what could have been a stressful situation into an absolute joy. I know we will cherish her photos for years to come. Highly recommend for any family but especially those with special needs who require a photographer with some extra patience and a positive attitude.

My fiancé and I had the pleasure of working with Lis in October 2024 in Stowe, VT, for our proposal and engagement shoot. Lis was incredibly helpful during the planning process. She was patient, detail-oriented, thorough, and flexible. She even visited the proposal area prior to my proposal and sent me videos to ensure I was confident and familiar with the area and the amount of people present. Lis arrived at the engagement area early on the big day and epitomized the word “flexibility” during our 90 minute session. Instead of us waiting 2 hours to ride the gondola back down the mountain, she offered to walk down an entire mountain with us. While walking down the mountain, she scouted out p...

I could not recommend a photographer more than Lis! Lis took engagement photos of me and my fiance and she was SO MUCH FUN to work with! She made everything feel incredibly natural and authentic and her pictures are stunning. Her use of light and movement are insane and she is just a blast to be around. They truly do not make better photographers than Lis. My fiance absolutely hates taking pictures and he not only loved the experience, but also the results! We were visiting from Louisiana and she found the PERFECT place for us for pictures, and recommended somewhere for hair and makeup for me and all of the above turned out to be 10/10. I cannot wait to come back to Vermont and have her be o...

Lis was the absolute best. She worked with my fiance on finding the best spot in Vermont for our proposal since we aren't from the area. She got there before us and stealthily captured the whole moment, and then continued to do some engagement photos afterwards. She made us feel comfortable and we had a blast while doing the photos. We got the pictures last night and they are absolutely stunning, she did a great job! Couldn't be happier with how they came out, thank you so much for being there for us!
