Planning perspective

What to consider before reaching out

A strong first conversation is about fit, not just availability. Share your date, approximate guest count, location, and the feeling you want the day to have. Ask what is included, what typically changes the final quote, and what decisions need to be made earliest.

For a venue partner, confirm how communication works, who will be present on the day, and how the team handles changes. Pricing was not included in the supplied research, so request a current, itemized proposal directly from the business.

I got married at Crofters Green June 2026. This venue is amazing! The owners are very laid back but always available to help. The venue is stunning with lodging right on site, a huge yard, beautiful flowers and amazing little brook. My husband and I chose to get married in the woods behind the barn and it exceeded all my expectations. The barn is large enough to comfortably fit all our wedding guests and have room to dance. Highly recommend working with Kristin and Daniel.

We were recently married at Crofter's Green and would highly recommend the venue for weddings, friends/ family time, or just as a place to stay with no special event. From the wedding planning prospective, Kristin and Daniel were amazing to work with! We toured the venue on a very cold day in December (Daniel did a great job helping us imagine the greenary) and booked the venue days later. They offer a discount to couples booking in the same calendar year, which helped us immensely! Kristin and Daniel were very communicative through the 6 months leading up to the wedding. They have an organized Google Folder with key components to planning a wedding (vender ideas, local overnight accommodat...

Really fun environment for weddings or any other special occasion. We came up for a wedding and stayed in one of their tiny houses. It had everything; nice kitchen, living room, bathroom with a heated floor and big stand up shower, excellent wifi and a bedroom. We occupied the 5 houses as well as two other house properties. The property is gorgeous with trails leading to a big nicely done firepit, hot tub, and other ammendidies. Would definitely recommend for a wedding!

Perfection. I stayed in a cottage for one night last week. Everything was exceptional, from booking through checkout. The cottage is small but very clean and comfortable, with every needed amenity (and more). Jay Peak is an easy drive and there were enough restaurants and other businesses fairly close to serve my needs. Would definitely try to stay here again if I am ever back in the area. Highly recommended.

I found this little gem when booking a place nearby for Jay peak skiing. I LOVED my stay! In fact, it made me want the same cute little cabin on my own property. The cabin was extremely comfortable, warm, cozy, and had everything I needed for my stay. Pet friendly which is a must for me as my senior pup comes everywhere with me. The hot tub was a huge selling point, and is situated in a beautiful part of the woods along a creek. Wow! Perfect for a dip after dinner, or with morning coffee. There were a few other guests who were very enjoyable to meet, and although this place offers the option to be social, it's still very small and private as well. Overall, the perfect little cabin rental pro...
