Planning perspective

What to consider before reaching out

A strong first conversation is about fit, not just availability. Share your date, approximate guest count, location, and the feeling you want the day to have. Ask what is included, what typically changes the final quote, and what decisions need to be made earliest.

For a venue partner, confirm how communication works, who will be present on the day, and how the team handles changes. Pricing was not included in the supplied research, so request a current, itemized proposal directly from the business.

We had my baby shower here and truly could not have had a better experience! Everything was so easy to organize from start to finish, and the staff made the entire day feel completely stress-free and special. The food was absolutely amazing, and the cook was wonderful! He was constantly checking in with us to make sure the food was still hot, that everything tasted great, and that we had everything we needed. The space was beautiful, everything ran so smoothly, and I was actually able to relax and enjoy the day with my family and friends instead of worrying about the little details. They really went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. My baby shower ended up being one of the best...

I have never been to New England, so this was my first time. We had reservations for Aug 1, 2026, to Aug 3, 2026. My son and I left Baltimore at 5am on Saturday, August 1 and made it to the Inn, around 6ish pm (we made a few stops on the way). I drove right by it the first time, my fault since I was gawking at the beautiful scenery. A short turn around later I walked in to check in. I was met at check in by a very friendly gentleman by the name of John. After a few seconds of the normal check in process, I asked if he could suggest anything in the area, since we really didn't have any plans for the time that we were in town. John spent the next 15 minutes discussing the area with what...

Beautiful inn with a lovely view. Rooms were exceptionally clean and had a full size balcony to be enjoyed. Plenty of parking and pleasant staff. Conveniently located off the highway and near the event I attended. My one major complaint was no mention from the staff or signage that the buffet breakfast was NOT included as part of your stay. I had to do a deep dive into the listing on hotels.com to discover the fee. It would be helpful to have a sign in the breakfast area mentioning this. I felt ambushed when I was handed the bill.

I attended a wedding a couple days ago in Gloucester. The moment I found The Castle Manor Inn on Google, I fell in love with the architecture, and interior views. I immediately booked it the day before flying out. I called after booking online and spoke with Dan. he was friendly and professional. Upon arrival, it felt like walking into an old friend's or relative's beautiful home. Beautifully decorated, and inviting. The room was clean and had a stunning view from the generously sized private deck. Conveniently located (via uber or cab only about two minutes) to wonderful local shops. Gloucester itslef is beyond beautiful in scenery and amazing friendly people with an enchanting East coast t...

Staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. The room however was nothing like the pictures. It’s been renovated and almost everything is completely different from the pictures. Wasn’t cleaned properly, found a cheez-it under the bed. It’s also listed that the room has air conditioning and a hair dryer, but we had neither. The room is on the second floor and got really hot, there’s not even a fan. Opened all windows and the breeze couldn’t cool it down. Bathroom is very nice. Water takes a while to warm up. Door to the room is almost impossible to unlock; you have to like pull the knob forward or just have it in the exact right position and you need to use a lot of force to turn the key. Ther...
