Planning perspective

What to consider before reaching out

A strong first conversation is about fit, not just availability. Share your date, approximate guest count, location, and the feeling you want the day to have. Ask what is included, what typically changes the final quote, and what decisions need to be made earliest.

For a venue partner, confirm how communication works, who will be present on the day, and how the team handles changes. Pricing was not included in the supplied research, so request a current, itemized proposal directly from the business.

Just got married here last night and it was absolutely PERFECT. From start to finish, it was a great experience. Amanda is the best event coordinator I could’ve asked for. She listened intently throughout the planning and executed every request we had. It helps that she’s meticulous and responsive. We met Lisa during rehearsal and her warm energy brought peace to my nerves on the best day of my life! Everyone raved about the food. They accommodated every little adjustment to the menu we had requested. Also, you really can’t beat the views upstairs. It was breathtaking! We cannot recommend enough!

Great place, very beautiful event center and restaurants. The staff was great and very helpful. The food is delicious as well. Even though I'm vegetarian and only had certain options, what I had was very delicious. The music hall is very big and they have a great sound system. They have a wedding room that's very beautiful and well-lit, and great for weddings.

My husband and I got married almost a year ago at Blue Ocean Event Center and we think back on that day OFTEN! Amanda, Bonnie, and the entire BOEC staff are incredible.💖 If you choose to have your wedding there you will be very well taken care of. Amanda and Bonnie are so thoughtful, organized, compassionate, and knowledgeable! The entire planning process was a seamless experience. The food was 10/10✨We are still getting compliments to this day about how magical our wedding was and how good the food was! We got married on the beach and were worried about people being in front of our wedding but between Amanda, Bonnie, and our photographers they had it handled. The same night of our wedding ...

We celebrated a baby shower at the Blue Ocean Event Center and it couldn’t have been more perfect! A lot of the planning was done remotely with the help and assistance of Amanda the Event Sales Manager. Amanda was very professional and responsive and her staff that worked our event were personable and knowledgeable which all added to the ease of the day! The views were amazing and we had many compliments from guests on the delicious food options! It was one of the easiest and most enjoyable events we have ever planned. Much gratitude to the staff and to Amanda for a perfect celebration! Definitely a 5 star recommendation!

I got married in the Blue Ocean Music Hall on 07-20-2024. My experience at the Blue Ocean Event Center was phenomenal! My husband and I cannot stop talking about the amazing team who made our day everything we wanted it to be and more. My event coordinators Bonnie & Lisa went above and beyond to make sure our wedding day was perfect. They set up all of my decor (I brought a lot with me). I made a binder of what I had and how I wanted everything to look. They followed it to a T and it went beyond the what I could have imagined. As the bride, I was frequently checked in with. I enjoyed having Bonnie nearby as I waited for my dad to come next to me. They did a fantastic job ensuring I did not ...
