What to consider before reaching out
A strong first conversation is about fit, not just availability. Share your date, approximate guest count, location, and the feeling you want the day to have. Ask what is included, what typically changes the final quote, and what decisions need to be made earliest.
For a venue partner, confirm how communication works, who will be present on the day, and how the team handles changes. Pricing was not included in the supplied research, so request a current, itemized proposal directly from the business.

I've been lucky enough to photograph over 20 weddings at Birch Wood, and it's easy to see why couples love getting married here. One of the things I appreciate most is how versatile it is. Whether it's a perfect fall day or pouring rain, there are so many great indoor and outdoor spots for photos that you never feel limited. The staff is honestly my favorite to work with out of all venues I've shot at. They always helps make the day feel relaxed and run smoothly. I'm always happy when I see Birch Wood on my calendar.

Birch Wood Vineyards is an awesome setting for whatever event you are planning. We did a 50th Birthday Party and the site was perfect and everyone had a great time. Everyone kept commenting on the facility and the grounds,, with so many people saying they didn't know this existed in Derry. The food was great and the staff went above and beyond anything we expected. Lexi and Melisa were in touch by email/phone as needed for the couple of months leading up to the event. On the day of the event the in-person team took over with Avery leading the way. She met us at the door and stayed in constant contact throughout the set up, party and clean up. She had everything planned out with the timeli...

There truly aren’t enough words to describe how amazing the team at Birch Wood Vineyards is. From the very beginning, their communication was detailed, timely, and incredibly organized. Melisa and Lexi were especially outstanding—extremely communicative and always responsive, even on weeknights and weekends. They were constantly making adjustments to our package to make sure the day felt completely “us.” The entire team paid attention to every little detail and was fully committed to giving my wife and I exactly what we wanted, making sure our day was nothing short of perfect. They genuinely made us feel like family throughout the entire process. On the day of the wedding, our coordinator A...

I got married at Birch Wood on 10/4/25 and I could not have chosen a better venue. Birch Wood was the first venue that my husband and I looked at and we both knew it was the one! From the beginning, the staff at Birch Wood makes the wedding process incredibly easy. We did the Marquette Package which included the cake, linens, centerpieces, bar, food, and more. Birch Woods preferred vendors that we worked with were all wonderful (Perfect Parties, Jacques Pastry, Ford Flowers) and everything came out beautiful. Dayna was our day coordinator and we loved her!!! She was there for every moment and made sure that our day was running flawlessly. Following the ceremony was when I was met by lovely ...

My husband and I got married at Birchwood in early March and we truly could not have dreamed of a better venue to make our wedding day more perfect!! From the gorgeous venue, incredible staff, and amazing food, we could not have asked for a better experience. We also really appreciated that for an indoor/winter wedding there are two separate rooms (one for the ceremony/reception and the other for cocktail hour) so that we could take our pictures in private and have a separate space for this! That was a huge selling point for us! The drinks were delicious, the food was to die for, and we added chicken tenders at the end of the night which were a huge hit! The bridal and groom suits are great ...
