Planning perspective
What to consider before reaching out
A strong first conversation is about fit, not just availability. Share your date, approximate guest count, location, and the feeling you want the day to have. Ask what is included, what typically changes the final quote, and what decisions need to be made earliest.
For a venue partner, confirm how communication works, who will be present on the day, and how the team handles changes. Pricing was not included in the supplied research, so request a current, itemized proposal directly from the business.

Hands down one of the most breathtaking venues I've ever had the pleasure of being a guest at. The landscape is absolutely amazing. You're surrounded by nature and natural beauty, literally surrounded. The grounds are very, VERY well maintained and the setup is really, REALLY nice. You can spend hours alone just checking out everything outside and around the barn. They haven't missed a beat on any of it. The actual barn itself is very rustic and loaded with character. The touches they added to make it elegant and beautiful mixed with the country vibe it naturally has work perfectly together. The large function tent outside of the barn is massive. And also very, very nice. All of the staff we...

So a great location for a wedding and I think over time will get better. The owner is invested in adding to the estate. The main barn served as the reception area. I just think that we wedding planning team (if they were the ones that come with the site) could have been a little more attentive. I realize however that these people at this wedding could have been brought in by the bride and groom have no association with the site specifically.

My wife and I got married at Birch Hill Farm on August 5th and we could not have asked for a better venue and crew! All of our guests were raving about the venue. The way it’s perched at the top of the hill gives incredible views and it makes it feel like your wedding is the only group of people in the world. Having both a tent for dinner and barn for dancing gives such a unique flow to the space; add in the fire pit and the view overlooking the mountains and there’s something for everyone. Mary Ann was a lovely and thoughtful host, and her planner Sherri was wonderful and patient. We cannot thank them and recommend them enough!

Birch Hill Farm was my dream venue. We got married at the end of June 2021. A barn and a tent surrounded by greenery and the mountains. The property and views are amazing. With Mary Anne’s help, along with the plentiful wedding pantry, we were able to bring our vision to life. You can really make this place your own. You are able to choose your own vendors, but Mary Anne’s recommendations are TOP NOTCH! We used five of her vendor suggestions. Gorgeous long farm tables, chairs, cocktail tables, a bar (converted from a shed), smoking hut, and linens are the perfect starting points for your day (all included in your venue rental fee). We were so excited to be able to start decorating o...
