9/7/26 - Update to review: After emailing the manager, I have yet to hear from him. There is much to like about Berkshires Untold. The location is great, the beds are comfortable. The lobby/club room is a nice place to hang out and the food was good. There's a nice outdoor area with fire pits which we didn't use due to the rain. It is not completely obvious from the website that this is a motel - you access the room from the outside and you need to walk outside to reach the club room. Not a deal breaker during temperate weather, but during the winter, the trip would require bundling up. The lobby, restaurant, and bar at Berkshires Untold are beautiful and definitely give the property a 4-star feel. Unfortunately, I don’t think the actual guest rooms live up to that same standard. The bed linens were particularly strange. The comforter didn’t actually have a duvet cover—it appeared to just have a top sheet placed over it, which didn’t feel especially polished or upscale. The bathroom also felt somewhat run down and like it could use a deeper cleaning. The room itself was quite dark unless you kept the window blind open, which really isn’t practical if you want privacy. I stayed 4 nights at the Berkshires Untold on a solo retreat getaway. I normally stay at one of the bigger hotels on that strip when I am visiting the area, but got a good deal on Priceline and found the aesthetic appealing, so I thought I would check it out. For my type of travel, it did not entirely meet my needs. I was frustrated by the lack of very basic amenities that I have had at other local accommodations, including the Lantern Motel in Stockbridge, which is marketed to the same demographic as Untold. We had a wonderful stay here. Nice boutique feel in this fully renovated hotel, which used to be a motor lodge a long time ago. The rooms were well designed and clean. Furniture and fixtures were new-ish. It was all above-average quality. The bed was very comfortable too. The lobby serves as a club room/bar/restaurant, and it was definitely the common space where guests were hanging out. Legit outdoor patio area with firepits too. The staff and hospitality were very nice. The hotel is pet-friendly and less than 5 minutes from downtown Lenox.

Nicely renovated motel with hip vibe. Public areas are attractive and welcoming. Rooms are well-appointed and updated -- while not hiding their modest roots. The bathroom amenities (soap, lotion,etc.) were particularly nice!
