Planning perspective

What to consider before reaching out

A strong first conversation is about fit, not just availability. Share your date, approximate guest count, location, and the feeling you want the day to have. Ask what is included, what typically changes the final quote, and what decisions need to be made earliest.

For a florals partner, confirm how communication works, who will be present on the day, and how the team handles changes. Pricing was not included in the supplied research, so request a current, itemized proposal directly from the business.

Beach Plum Florist exceeded every expectation for our Cape Cod wedding! From start to finish, the entire team was incredibly responsive, organized, and a joy to work with. Their communication was outstanding—their response time was always so fast, which made the planning process feel stress-free and seamless. A few months before our wedding, they created a beautiful mock-up of our tablescape that helped us truly envision the design. They also guided us through so many additional design elements, offering thoughtful ideas and making sure every detail came together perfectly. On the wedding day, the florals were absolutely stunning. Everything was even more beautiful than we imagined, and th...

Thank you so much to Lisa and Beach Plum for their beautiful work on my daughter's wedding at Bradstreet Farm in October. The centerpieces were gorgeous! Lisa's wealth of experience with the venue provided many helpful suggestions for the various tables and displays, and she was a pleasure to work with. The greenery around the tent entrance seemed a bit extravagant but when I saw it, I was utterly thrilled and so pleased that we included it.

Absolutely incredible flower shop! They made one of the most incredible bouquets I’ve seen with all of my favorite flowers, and they did it within the day of calling. The house smells amazing too.

I highly recommend this flower shop. I researched flower shops in the Newburyport area for an anniversary bouquet (our 50th so kind of important), and came across this shop which, although centrally located in the Tannery, I was not aware of. As soon as I walked in I could tell that they were set up as a quality operation, probably doing a lot of event flower arrangements as well as individual sales. I choose a bouquet since we have a number of vases, and was pleased to see how well the arrangement was done, so well that when I brought it home to my wife she chose to not unwrap it since the presentation looked so professionally done. I usually don't post comments but in this case, since ...
