Our room was tiny and there was no closet or place to hang anything. The soap dispensers needed refilling and that took 2 requests; the remote didn’t work but they quickly replaced the batteries. On the plus side we enjoyed the pool and location: close to the park entrance and Bar Harbor but quiet and nice view towards the water. If I were to book again I’d first check on the room size, as others seemed more spacious.

This hotel was a very solid choice for our recent trip to Acadia National Park and the surrounding area. The rooms were updated, clean, and we had a lovely view of Frenchman's Bay. The bed was reasonably comfortable with updated linens, and there was a refrigerator and ice bucket in the room. In my opinion, a coffee pot or tea kettle would have been a great addition. In the bathroom, there were basic toiletries, a hair dryer, and decent towels provided. The continental breakfast consisted of fresh fruit, oatmeal, yogurt, blueberry muffins (amazing!), juice, milk, tea, and coffee. Makes a nice base for exploring Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. Room was recently refreshed with a coat of paint and nautical decals and new curtains. New floor treatment is nice with a rug in the center of the room. Bathroom got a refresh as well new fixtures and flooring. The continental breakfast was just adequate. Kind of a strange set up just off the lobby. 10 am checkout should be bumped to 11am. We did not utilize the pool but it seemed ok.

First the good. The room looked recently done. It was cute with a nautical theme. We only stayed one night. The bad. As soon as we entered the room the was an intense chemical clean smell. Which I guess in itself isn’t bad but it was overpowering. The A/C was very loud and didn’t seem to really cool down the room even when we turned the temp down. The bed was super uncomfortable to us. Finally, there was a spot in the shower where it felt like you could fall through. We were on the backside of the office building so I can’t speak to the view but we will not be returning. The people were very nice but there were so many bads that it outweighed the cute decor of the room.

Location is excellent, a short drive from down town. The room smelled nice and clean upon check in, however the bathroom floors were visibly dirty with footprints. The rest of the room was clean however. We had a good view of the ocean. This place is good for spending 1-2 nights in the area without breaking the bank.
